Detailed Itinerary
You start your trip at Goa on a train or a flight to Agra. Upon arrival, you will be picked by a representative of Rajasthan cab to the hotel where you will be checking in to your hotel and relaxing. During the evening go to Mehtab Bagh, a Mughal garden, on the other side of Yamuna River, to see the Taj Mahal shine in the sunset. Then walk through Sadar Bazaar which is one of the busiest markets of Agra. In this case, go shopping in handcrafts, marble, and well known Agra Petha shoes and do not forget to taste the legendary Agra Petha. Overnight stay in Agra.
The second day will begin with the sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The monument is constructed with pure white marble, and it appears superb in the early morning. Visit the green gardens, fountains, and the most prominent mausoleum and immerse oneself in the old beauty.
In the morning visit the great Agra Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage. It is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture and has such structures as Jahangir Mahal, Khas Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, and Diwan-i-Aam. Leisure time and coming back to your hotel.
You can start your day with visiting the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah also referred to as the Baby Taj. It is believed to have marble latticework and beautiful designs of an inlay and is regarded as a draft of the Taj Mahal. Then proceed to Fatehpur Sikri that was the former capital of Akbar. Go sightseeing of its royal palaces, monuments like Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal and the holy Tomb of Salim Chishti. In the evening, go to Agra and visit a marketplace known as Kinari Bazaar, one related with jewels, fabrics and decoratives. Overnight stay in Agra.
On this day, take a spiritual tour to Mathura and Vrindavan which are the two cities holy to Lord Krishna. See the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, Dwarkadheesh Temple, Banke Bihari Temple and the ISKCON Temple. The prayers, religious songs and temple services form an unforgettable environment. Go back to Agra in the evening and take a rest at your hotel.
