Day 1: Chennai to Agra – Arrival and Evening Leisure

Day 2: Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

The second day begins early morning with the visit of the Taj Mahal at sunrise. This is a sight to remember when one watches the varying color of this marble monument in a morning light. Take time and visit the gardens, the reflecting pool and the intricate architecture that has seen it become one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Visit Agra fort after breakfast, a huge red sandstone fortress and a UNESCO world heritage site. There is massive halls, palaces, and courtyards in it that mirror the power of the Mughal Empire. Day 3: Fatehpur Sikri Excursion

Have a half-day trip to Fatehpur Sikri, the former prosperous Mughal capital constructed by Akbar. See the great Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal, and Diwan-i-Khas. One of the most important attractions in this gateway is the Tomb of Salim Chishti which is a holy Sufi shrine, where individuals visit seeking blessings. Day 4: Mathra and Vrindavan sightseeing tour.

Breakfast at Hotel and take a day trip to Mathura and Vrindavan two holy towns so intertwined with Lord Krishna. Mathura has the Shri Krishna Janmabhoemi Temple, the birthplace of Lord Krishna and other minor temples around the Mathra area. Afterwards, proceed to Vrindavan and visit the well-known Banke Bihari Temple, ISKCON Temple and the beautiful Prem Mandir. Prem Mandir is made bright with colorful lights during the evening which gives it a godly touch. It is a one-day trip that combines both religion and culture. Retaliate to Agra to stay overnight.

 

Day 5: Sikandra and Chennai Departure.

Have breakfast and leave your hotel on the last day and go to Sikandra which is the tomb of Emperor Akbar. The monument is also special in that it incorporates the Hindu, Islamic, Christian and Buddhist architectural designs, which depict the fact that Akbar believed in unity. It makes a lovely concluding visit to Agra with beautiful gardens around it. Having seen everything, you can go to the railway station or airport to take a ride back to Chennai with the memories of your five days in Agra and its history, culture, and spirituality.
