Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Hyderabad to Agra β Arrival and Evening Leisure
Your tour will begin with flying or traveling by a train between Agra and Hyderabad. Once you arrive in Agra, a representative of Rajasthan Cab will welcome you in Agra and he will transport you in the hotel and later you can check in your hotel and take a rest. In the evening hours, you can start your trip with Mehtab Bagh which is a Mughal garden on the other side of Yamuna River. It would best suit to receive the initial magic glimpse of the Taj Mahal at the time of sunset, the most suitable moment to take photographs and to have a relaxing walk. The second destination is Sadar Bazaar, one of the markets in Agra which is busy and you will be able to purchase some handicrafts, leather products, sweets and souvenirs. Take a room and have a night at the hotel.
Day 2: Taj Mahal and Agra Fort
Early retirement and visit the Taj Mahal on the second day during the time of sunrise. It is wonderful to see this masterpiece constructed of marble in the morning sunshine. Give time to marvel at its white domes, rich inlay and gardens with which it is enclosed. In the morning, proceed with sightseeing into the Agra Fort that is a world heritage site and which used to house the Mughal. Visit its vast halls, courts and palaces including the Palace of Jahangir and Diwan-i-Khas. In the evening visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, otherwise referred to as the Baby Taj due to its fine marble. Overnight stay in Agra.
Day 3: Fatehpur Sikri Field trip.
On the third day, have a brief drive to the former capital of the Mughal Empire, Fatehpur Sikri. The city was constructed under Emperor Akbar and it is known as the city of monuments made up of red sandstone. See the Buland Darwaza, the great gateway, and Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal and the holy Tomb of Salim Chishti, a favorite pilgrimage place. Stroll through the royal palaces and courts narrating Mughal history. Go back to Agra in the afternoon and have your evening out in the Kinari Bazaar ,where marble items, jewels, and traditional garments are on high demand. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Mathura and Vrindavan Tour
Start the day tour of Mathura and Vrindavan, the holy towns of Lord Krishna. See the Shrine of Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple at Mathura, which is said to be Krishna’s birthplace. Then travel to Vrindavan and visit to popular temples like Prem Mandir, Banke Bihari Temple and ISKCON Temple. Having experienced the divine touch of such towns, spend the night at Agra.
Day 5: Sikandra and Departure to Hyderabad.
The last day is for you to leave the hotel after breakfast and to visit Sikandra, the great tomb of Emperor Akbar. It is also the unique quality of the monument that incorporates Hindu, Christian, Islamic, and Buddhist architectural influences. It is a serene place to conclude your Agra tour surrounded by beautiful gardens. Then it is time to visit the railway station or the airport to take a trip back to Hyderabad and you do not come back without memorable events of your 5-day visit to Agra.
