Day 1: Chandigarh-Jaipur—the pink city.

Take off at Chandigarh and proceed to the capital of Rajasthan, which is Jaipur. Once you have checked in to your hotel, you can begin sightseeing in the city. Explore City Palace, a mixture of Mughal and Rajput architecture and the royal observatory called Jantar Mantar, the old instruments of astronomical study.

Then, continue walking through Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, the jewelry and fabrics and local crafts market. Finish the day with a nice dinner of Rajasthani dishes such as Dal Baati Churma and Gatte Ki Sabzi.

Overnight stay: Jaipur.

Spend all day further exploring the royal heritage of Jaipur. Begin with Amber Fort, which is situated on a hill on the Maota Lake. Have fun on the elephant ride or jeep ride to the entrance of the fort. Have a look at the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) and Diwan-e-Aam (Hall of Public Audience) within.

Then, go to Hawa Mahal, a magnificent pink palace constructed so the ladies of the court could view street festivals. Proceed to Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort to view the city in its splendid views. During the evening, visit the Chokhi Dhani, a place where you can enjoy folk dance, puppet shows, and traditional foods, which is an experience of the Rajasthani culture.

Overnight stay: Jaipur.

Have breakfast and go to the desert city of Bikaner, which has a rich history and architecture. Upon arrival, see Junagarh Fort, which is also known because of its elaborate carvings, balconies, and palaces. The museum of the fort displays royal artifacts and weapons.

Another place to explore is the Karni Mata Temple at Deshnok, also known as the Rat Temple, which is a temple with its own form of spiritual practices. Visit the old city markets later to try Bhujia, sweets, and local snacks.

Overnight stay: Bikaner.

Breakfast and then go to Jaisalmer, which is the Golden City of Rajasthan. The trip shows you huge desert sceneries and villages. Arriving at Jaisalmer, visit your hotel and have a rest.

During the evening, we should go to Gadisar Lake, where we can have a tranquil boat ride as the sun sets behind the golden sandstone city. Explore the small streets surrounded with havelis in the best styles, including Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, which illustrate the best of craftsmanship.

Overnight stay: Jaisalmer.

Begin by visiting Jaisalmer Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the few existing forts in India. The fort has the temples, houses, and shops that allow you to have a glimpse of life in medieval Rajasthan.

During the afternoon, go to Sam Sand Dunes, which are approximately 40 km away from the city. Take a camel ride or a jeep ride in the golden dunes and admire the amazing sunset. Then later have a night of Rajasthani folk music, dance, and a traditional dinner in the starry desert sky in a desert camp.

Overnight stay: Desert Camp, Jaisalmer.

Post-breakfast, visit Jodhpur, which is the Blue City. Upon arrival, explore the big Mehrangarh Fort, which is among the largest forts of India. Royal costumes, paintings, and weaponry are on display in the fort museum. On the terrace, there is a panoramic view of the houses in blue color.

Then, explore the marble cenotaph called Jaswant Thada, constructed in honor of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, and the Umaid Bhawan Palace, one part of which is currently a luxury hotel. Spend your evening in Clock Tower market, where handicrafts, spices, and souvenirs are sold.

Overnight stay: Jodhpur.

Breakfast, then drive to Udaipur, the City of Lakes. On the way, visit Ranakpur Jain Temples with elaborate carvings of marble and a serene atmosphere.

The first activity to be performed on arrival to Udaipur is a relaxing boat ride on Lake Pichola and having a glimpse of Lake Palace and Jag Mandir. During the night, visit local markets to buy silver jewelry, paintings, and miniature crafts.

Overnight stay: Udaipur.

On the last day, visit City Palace, which is one of the most beautiful palaces in Rajasthan and then move to Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari, a royal garden.
