Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Mizoram to Jaipur (Arrival – Gateway to Royal Rajasthan)

This journey begins with a connecting flight between Aizawl (Mizoram) and Jaipur with a stopover at Kolkata or Delhi. Once there, you will be received at Jaipur Airport and transported to your hotel. Once in the city, check in and take a rest, then continue the evening with the Birla Temple sightseeing and a cultural dinner that includes traditional dance, music, and traditional Rajasthani food in Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic village resort. The pink city and Jaipur offer an ideal way to start the experience of the grandeur and warmth of Rajasthan.

 

Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeingβ€”Royal Palaces and Heritage.

Once you have had breakfast, start a guided tour of the historic attractions of Jaipur. To begin with, explore Amber Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the place with the hilltop view and the rides on the elephants. Then visit City Palace, the real embodiment of the royal family of the Rajput, and then Jantar Mantar Observatory. Take a break and have snapshots at the most famous Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds. Then go later to local bazaars—Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar—where you can get jewelry, textile and handicrafts. The day reflects the real essence of the Rajasthan royalty.

 

Day 3: Jaipur to Bikaner (Approx. 335 km/6 hours)

Then breakfast, and go on to Bikaner, the Camel Country of Rajasthan. In the process, have a glimpse of the sweeping desert scenes. Once there, proceed to Junagarh Fort, which is characterized by elaborate carvings and a splendid interior and get checked in with your hotel. Another place to visit is the special Karni Mata Temple in Deshnok, the so-called Rat Temple. The evening time can be spent taking a leisurely tour around the local food and handicrafts of Bikaner and then going to sleep.

 

Day 4: Bikaner to Jaisalmer (Approx. 330km / 6hrs)

Go to the Golden City of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer, located on the periphery of the Thar Desert. In the highway, you can take a shortcut to the Kuldhara Village, a deserted village full of mystery and legends. Arrive at Jaisalmer, check in and rest. During the evening, visit the colorful local markets, that are loaded with colorful embroidery, mirrors and camel leather craft. Jaisalmer is one city that is an attraction in any Rajasthan tour package by road in Mizoram.

 

Day 5: Desert Experience and Sightseeing in Jaisalmer.

Explore the architectural wonders of Jaisalmer after breakfast. Begin with Jaisalmer Fort, which is one of the few living forts in the world. Next stop at Patwon Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Gadisar Lake. In the afternoon, go to Sam Sand Dunes to have fun. Camel safari, folk music and a traditional desert sunset. Close the night with a cultural show and dinner in a luxury desert camp—a wonderful experience, particularly for honeymooners.  

 

Day 6: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur (Approx. 285 km / 5 hrs)

Take off to Jodhpur or the Blue City. After that, you should get to your hotel and have a shower. Start sightseeing with the fantastic Mehrangarh Fort that provides beautiful scenery of the blue-painted houses below. Then go sightseeing, first in Jaswant Thada, a lovely marble cenotaph and then in the colorful Clock Tower Market. The history and culture of Jodhpur will be an addition to your Mizoram family vacation to Rajasthan.

 

Day 7: Jodhpur to Mount Abu (around 270 km / 5 hrs).

We then go to the only hill station in Rajasthan, Mount Abu, after breakfast. When we come there, we shall go to Nakki Lake, the SunsetPoint and the famous Dilwara Jain Temples. These temples are widely known due to their complex marble artwork. The climate is cool and the greenery is rich, creating a refreshing experience off-road in the desert for the couple that wants to relax.

 

Day 8: Mount Abu to Udaipur (Approx. 165 km / 3.5 hrs)

We go to the City of Lakes—Udaipur. Once you have settled in your hotel, you will be spending the day out. See the City Palace, Jag Mandir, Saheliyon Ki Bari, and Fateh Sagar Lake. During the evening, one can take a romantic boat ride in the lake Pichola that will give a beautiful view of the gleaming palaces and ghats. The charm and beauty of Udaipur makes it a point in any Rajasthan honeymoon package of Mizoram.

 

Day 9: Udaipur-Ajmer-Pushkar-Jaipur (Approx. 390km / 7hrs)

Post breakfast, travel to the North and see the holy Ajmer Sharif Dargah, a holy pilgrimage place. Go to Pushkar, where you will be able to visit the popular Brahma Temple and even take a holy bath in Pushkar Lake. Later on, go to Jaipur and have an overnight stay. This tour is a combination of spirituality, tranquility and sightseeing.

 

Day 10: Jaipur-Mizoram (Departure)

This will be followed by a transfer after breakfast to Jaipur Airport or Railway Station to get back to Mizoram. Make pleasant memories of forts, palaces, deserts, and kingly treatment that can only be remembered when in Rajasthan.
