Day 1: Delhi to Shimla (340 km)

Start early at Delhi, and go to Shimla, the Queen of Hills. Go across Panipat, Ambala, Solan, and so on, capturing the varying sceneries. You can go to your hotel and then take a leisurely walk through Mall Road, visit Christ Church and sightsee the Ridge. Overnight in Shimla.

 

Day 2: Shimla Local Sightseeing and Kufri Excursion

Post-breakfast, drive to Kufri, a hill town that is enclosed by the deodar forests. Have fun horse-riding and go to the Himalayan Nature Park. In the afternoon, visit Shimla again to visit the Indian Institute of Advanced Study and the Jakhoo Temple. Shop or have dinner on nights over at the hotel. Overnight in Shimla.

 

Day 3: Shimla to Manali (250 km)

Start the picturesque drive to Manali over the Kullu Valley after taking breakfast. Pandoh Dam and Kullu Shawl Factory. Reach Manali in the evening, get to your hotel and take a stroll on Mall Road. Overnight in Manali.

 

Day 4: Manali – Solang Valley & Local Tour

Explore Manali’s highlights. Visit Solang Valley to do paragliding, zorbing and skiing (during winter). During the afternoon explore Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple and Vashisht Hot Springs. The night is at liberty to go cafe-hopping and shopping around. Overnight in Manali.

 

Day 5: Manali to Dharamshala (235 km)

Travel to Dharamshala, the religious retreat of the Dalai Lama, after breakfast. Enter your hotel and visit afterwards the Dalai Lama Temple Complex, Bhagsunag Waterfall, and St John's Church in the Wilderness. Overnight in Dharamshala.

 

Day 6: Dharamshala Local Sightseeing

Visit the scenic views of Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj. Tour the Tibetan Museum, Dal Lake and the busy McLeod Ganj market of handicrafts. Appreciate the sunset in Naddi Village. Overnight in Dharamshala.

 

Day 7: Dharamshala to Dalhousie (120 km)

Day 8: Dalhousie to Khajjiar Excursion (20 km)

Begin your day with a mini tour of Khajjiar, the Mini Switzerland of India. Khajjiar has horse-riding and zorbing within cedar forests and meadows. Look round the lake, and go back to Dalhousie in the evening. Overnight in Dalhousie.

 

Day 9: Dalhousie to Amritsar (200 km) – Departure.
