Start with the flight or train journey from Bhavnagar to Delhi. Once checked in, have a relaxing evening out at India Gate or Connaught Place or simply have a sleep after the tedious journey. The point of entry to the mountains is Delhi.

Begin the picturesque journey to Shimla. The highway switches out of flat terrain to pine hills. Upon arrival, visit the Ridge, Mall Road, Christ Church and Lakkar Bazaar to have an easy introduction to the hills.

In the morning visit Kufri, which has good views and forest trails. Afternoon: Go to Mashobra to take walks and photographs of nature. Return to Shimla in the evening and relax in the town.

Travel to Dalhousie, a mountain station with colonial buildings and a serene atmosphere. See St John's Church, Panchpula, and Subhash Baoli. Relish the cool climate and woody scenery.  

Go on a morning sightseeing trip to Khajjiar, the well-known meadow popularly referred to as the Mini Switzerland of India. Walking, riding on horses, and visiting forests. Go back to Dalhousie in the evening and stay there all night. 

Take a train or plane back to Pathankot. Before completing your Himachal holiday, savour the last mountain scenery.
