Best time – April to June and mid-September to October are the most suitable time to plan a Char Dham Trip from Haridwar. Clear skies and manageable temperatures make it easier to access the shrines at Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
Not recommended – The yatra is not recommended during the monsoon season (July – August) due to heavy rains, landslides and slippery paths, posing significant travel risks.

Begin a remarkable journey from Haridwar to Barkot where you will check into the pre-booked hotel. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes along the way. Stay overnight in Barkot.
Early morning, embark on a drive to Janki Chatti, the road heading for Yamunotri Temple. From Janki Chatti, choose between a walk, a horse ride, or a palanquin ride to reach the temple (approximately 6 km). Seek blessings at the Yamunotri Temple, the source of the Yamuna River considered sacred in Hinduism. Enjoy a holy dip (optional) in the Kund (natural hot water spring) near the temple. Return to Barkot for the night.
After breakfast, travel to Uttarkashi comfortably. Check into the hotel for relaxing. Later in the evening, visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Stay overnight in Uttarkashi.
Post breakfast, explore Gangotri, a source of the Ganges River, the holiest river of Hinduism. Take a jeep or taxi ride from Gangotri to reach the Gangotri Temple. Offer prayers at the temple and perform a puja in the holy water of the Ganges. Stay in Gangotri.
Post breakfast, depart for Guptakashi a town serving as the base camp for Kedarnath. Enjoy a drive offering stunning Himalayan vistas, including glimpses of snow-capped peaks. Later check into the hotel for an overnight stay in Guptakashi.

After taking a holy dip in the Tapt Kund or natural hot water spring, near the temple, depart for Rudraprayag, the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Complete the check-in formalities in Rudraprayag for a comfortable night's stay.
Post breakfast, begin your journey back to Haridwar. Along the way, visit Rishikesh, the Yoga capital of the world, to get a glimpse of its spiritual bliss. Once you reach Haridwar, check out from the hotel and conclude the journey here.
