Get up early and take a drive to Sonprayag. A local jeep to Gaurikund will take you off here. Start your 16 km walk to Kedarnath, with all the waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, forest and crowds of pilgrims singing. You can choose to take a pony ride, palki ride or helicopter ride (weather permitting). The Himalayas views available with every turn of the trail are dramatic and they leave you motivated. Get up early and have the divine morning darshan at the Kedarnath Temple. Having made prayers, start returning to Gaurikund. Pay a visit to Rudraprayag to the junction of the Alaknanda and the Mandakini rivers. In the evening reach Rishikesh and enter into your hotel.
