Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Haridwar / Rishikesh / Dehradun to Barkot β Gentle Start with Scenic Comfort
The trip starts with a comfortable morning drive to Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun and then a drive to Barkot where Yamunotri Dham is located in a comfortable way. The road goes via Mussoorie and a stop is planned at Kempty falls to eliminate long unbroken driving. Regular breaks are provided in order to make the elderly citizens comfortable. When you get to Barkot, get yourself a room at a clean and quiet hotel. The evening is left to rest, light walking, and acclimatization. Overnight and dinner at Barkot.
Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri and Return β Assisted Darshan for Elderly Pilgrims
In the early morning, the seniors are picked after breakfast and taken to Janki Chatti where the Yamunotri 6 km trek starts. Pony, palki or dandi are ordered to minimize physical efforts, according to personal comfort. In Yamunotri Temple, visitors offer their prayers and pay darshan to Goddess Yamuna, make a holy bath in Surya Kund. The journey back is by the same route, with the same assistance, to Barkot, where a good dinner and a pleasant rest is awaited.

Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi β Slow Drive with Spiritual Ambience
The yatra proceeds after the breakfast to Uttarkashi on the banks of Bhagirathi River. The push is picturesque and easy, and frequent tea and rest stops. On arrival, the senior pilgrims pay their visitors the ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Shakti Temple, which is of serene and spiritual ambience. The remaining part of the evening is spent on relaxation. Overnight and dinner at Uttarkashi.
Day 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and Back β Comfortable Day Excursion
An early and easy going journey leads pilgrims to Gangotri Dham via the scenic Harsil Valley. In Gangotri, the old people do darshan at Gangotri Temple, which is devoted to Goddess Ganga, and also perform some simple rituals along the river. The environment, fresh air and clean surroundings are what make the experience relaxing and refreshing. Darshan, then go to Uttarkashi, dine and spend the night.
Day 5: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi β Extra Time for Acclimatization
Have breakfast and then go to Guptkashi, an important resting place prior to Kedarnath. The further trip is broken into smaller parts separated by frequent breaks, which makes it comfortable to the old travellers. On arrival, go to visit Vishwanath Temple and Ardhanarishwar Temple after which you should rest. The night is spent on medical examination, snacks, and the Kedarnath visit preparation. Day 6: Guptkashi to Kedarnath β Flexible and Assisted Travel Day
In the morning, the old people go to Gaurikund. It is here that pilgrims have an option of palki/pony support or helicopter services (which are suggested to elderly citizens) to the Kedarnath trek. On arrival at Kedarnath Dham, Lord Shiva is worshipped in a relaxed and slow way. Following darshan, pilgrims go back to Guptkashi or Sonprayag during the same day by helicopter or with the help of assisted trek.
Day 7: Guptkashi to Joshimath β Leisurely Transition Day
This is a day which is deliberately kept light in order to give time to recover after Kedarnath. Seniors take a ride towards Joshimath after breakfast and have the scenic views of the Alaknanda River. On arrival, check in the hotel and rest or go to the local temples at a leisurely pace. Overnight and dinner at Joshimath.
Day 8: Joshimath to Badrinath β Final Dham with Easy Accessibility
Badrinath Dham is among the most convenient Char Dhams that can be reached by the elderly seniors, after breakfast. On arrival, pilgrims perform a sacred bath at Tapt Kund, after that they have a darshan at the Badrinath Temple, which is devoted to Lord Vishnu.
