Day 1: Lucknow to Chandigarh – Arrival and Local Sightseeing.

Board a morning flight or a train from Lucknow to Chandigarh. On arrival, check in to your hotel, clean up and visit Sukhna Lake, the Rock Garden and the Capitol Complex. During the evening, you can have a boat ride or walk around Rose Garden. Overnight in Chandigarh.

 

Day 2: Chandigarh to Shimla (115 km)

Breakfast, then drive to Shimla, the beautiful hill capital. The highway is bordered by pine trees and little hill villages. Get into your hotel, rest, and in the evening go to The Mall Road, The Ridge and the Christ Church to have a glimpse of the colonial Shimla. Overnight in Shimla.

 

Day 3: Shimla – Kufri and Mashobra Excursion.

Go to Kufri to have adventure activities and snow scenery. For sweeping views, visit Mahasu Peak and the Himalayan Nature Park. Go on to Mashobra, a quiet little village of apple orchards and cedar woods. Visit Shimla in the evening and visit the local market and stay overnight.

 

Day 4: Shimla to Manali via Kullu (250 km)

Take an early scenic drive to Manali. Stop at Kullu to see shawl factories and river views. Follow the Beas River, and have mountainous scenery. Reach Manali in the evening, have a rest at your hotel and spend the night.

 

Day 5: Manali – Solang Valley and Local Attractions.

Go to Solang Valley, which is known for paragliding, skiing (during winter), and cable cars. See Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Hot Springs and Tibetan Monastery. Dine on the Mall Road in the evening or take a rest on the Beas River. Overnight in Manali.

 

Day 6: Manali to Dharamshala (235 km)

Drive to Dharamshala, a serene town in Kangra Valley. Then explore McLeod Ganj, Bhagsunag Temple, and Dalai Lama Monastery and check into a hotel. Take Tibetan meals and have a peaceful evening amidst the Himalayas. Overnight in Dharamshala.

 

Day 7: Dharamshala to Dalhousie (120 km)

Go to Dalhousie, which is so colonial. See St Francis Church, Subhasa Baoli and Satdhara Falls. Take a stroll through Mall Road in the evening and buy souvenirs. Overnight in Dalhousie.

 

Day 8: Dalhousie – Khajjiar Excursion (20 km)

Khajjiar, the mini Switzerland of India. Devote the day to green fields, pine forests, and the picturesque lake. Visit Khajji Nag Temple and have a ride on a horse or a zorb. Go back to Dalhousie to spend your night.

 

Day 9: Dalhousie to Amritsar (200 km) – Departure.
