Chandigarh is the beginning of your holiday. You shall be picked up and make a journey through pine-laden hills to Shimla. Check in, then spend the night slowly sightseeing on Mall Road, Ridge, and Lakkar Bazaar.

 

Day 2: Shimla Local Sightseeing.

Explore the best sites in Shimla: the Jakhu Temple, the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, the Vice-Regal Lodge, and the busy Tibetan Market. Finish with a pleasant stroll around the Ridge and Scandal Point.

 

Day 3: Shimla β†’ Mashobra β†’ Naldehra (Approx. 40 km total)

Go to Mashobra, which has apple orchards and forest scenes. Go on to Naldehra and its golf course and open meadows. Rest in the picturesque scenery and walking paths.

 

Day 4: Naldehra β†’ Manali (Approx. 190 km)

Go to Manali through serpentine mountain roads and rivers. Go to Mall Road in the evening and walk there in cafes, Tibetan shops, and bakeries.

 

Day 5: Manali Local Exploration.

Explore the Nyingmapa Monastery, the Hadimba Temple, and the Manu Temple. You can then get a feel for the natural beauty in Old Manali, or you can relax in Vashisht Hot Springs. Conclude with a walk on the quiet side of the river.

Day 6: Manali β†’ Kullu β†’ Kasol (Approx. 80 km)

Day trip to Kullu Valley: Shawl Factory, a rafting station (seasonal), and ancient temples. On to Kasol, a picturesque village beside the river, with charming walks. Spend the night at the Parvati River.

 

Day 7: Kasol β†’ Dharamshala (Approx. 200 km)

Today we are going to an Indian spiritual town, Dharamshala, in deodar forests. See the Dalai Lama Temple, St John's Church, and McLeod Ganj Market. Take in the fresh air and relaxing atmosphere.

 

Day 8: Dharamshala β†’ Dalhousie (Approx. 120 km)

Drive to Dalhousie, a small colonial hill town. See Subhash Baoli, Gandhi Chowk, Satdhara Falls and the adjoining suites. Go wandering about the lovely streets of town at night.

Day 10: Departure from Pathankot.

Have breakfast and then travel to Pathankot airport or railway station and begin your journey back to Alleppey with new memories of the landscapes of Himachal.
