Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Bangalore to Delhi – Arrival in Shimla (Approx. 350 km from Delhi)

You can either fly or take a train from Bangalore to Delhi. On arrival, drive to the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla. Along the way, experience beautiful valleys and zigzag mountain passes. After getting to Shimla, you can check into your hotel and spend the evening walking along Mall Road, sightseeing in The Ridge and having a nice view at Scandal Point.

Day 2: Shimla local sightseeing and Kufri Visit (20 km one way)

Post breakfast, take an excursion to Kufri, which is home to green vegetation and snow fun in winter. Go to the Kufri Fun World and Himalayan Nature Park. In the afternoon, visit Jakhoo Temple, Christ Church, and Viceregal Lodge. Go to the hotel and have a leisurely evening.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali via Kullu (Approx. 250 km / 7 hrs)

Then travel to Manali, one of the most picturesque places in Himachal, after breakfast. Break at Kullu Valley, the river rafting and handloom shawl centre. Keep on through the scenic valley of the Beas River till one arrives in Manali by evening. When you are checking in, relax and then have a pleasant stay at the mountain.

Day 4: Manali Local Sightseeing.

Begin by sightseeing at the Hadimba Temple, a peaceful monument in a cedar forest. Thereafter, visit Vashisht Hot Springs, Club House, and Tibetan Monastery. You can have your afternoon in Old Manali, which offers beautiful cafes and wooden houses to create the ideal atmosphere for relaxing. Go down Mall Road in the evening and take souvenirs.

Day 5: Manali – Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel Excursion (30 km one way)

Following breakfast, proceed to Solang Valley, which is an adventure sports venue (skiing, snow-scooter rides and paragliding). See the Atal Tunnel that links Manali with Lahaul and has gorgeous Himalayan scenery. Go back to Manali in the evening and have a quiet dinner by the riverside.

Day 6: Manali to Dharamshala (Approx. 240 km / 7 hrs)

Give up breakfast and start your trip to Dharamshala, which is a home to the Dalai Lama. The path provides perfect landscapes of tilled land and pine forests. Arrive and visit McLeod Ganj, Namgyal Monastery and Bhagsunag Temple. It is a perfect evening to visit Tibetan markets and cafes.

Day 7: Dharamshala to Dalhousie (Approx. 120 km / 4 hrs)

Go to Dalhousie, a lovely town with colonial buildings, today and enjoy the beauty of the place. See Subhash Baoli, Panchpula Waterfall and St John's Church. Take a stroll in the local bazaars in the evening or from Gandhi Chowk, see the sunset.

Day 8: Dalhousie – Khajjiar Excursion (22 km one way).

In the morning, have a half-day trip to Khajjiar, also called the mini Switzerland of India, after breakfast. See panoramic meadows, pine forests and a quiet lake with deodar trees. Ride the horse or make brief excursions, then head back to Dalhousie in the evening.

Day 9: Dalhousie to Chandigarh (Approx. 290 km / 7 hrs)

The drive to Chandigarh is notable for its urban design and greenery. See the rock gardens, rose gardens, and Sukhanal. Shop in the evening in Sector 17 Market or have fun in the local food market.

Day 10: Chandigarh to Delhi – Return to Bangalore
