Detailed 6 Days Gujarat Tour Itinerary Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad and Heritage Exploration.
Reach Ahmedabad and get picked up by your driver of Rajasthan Cab. Get in your hotel and take a shower. Begin the day by going to Sabarmati Ashram where Mahatma Gandhi stayed, and have a peaceful stroll along the Sabarmati Riverfront. Next visit beautiful Jama Masjid, Sidi Saiyyed Mosque and Adalaj Stepwell. During the evening, do a stroll around crowded markets, sample authentic Gujarati food, and and do a heritage walk through the antique quarter of the city. Stay overnight in Ahmedabad.
Day 2: Ahmedabad to Modhera and Patan.
Then go to the Modhera Sun Temple after breakfast, known to be the temple of elaborate carvings and ancient Sun god shrine. Visit a nearby stepwell and the temple area. Still go to Patan, the location of the UNESCO world heritage site Rani ki Vav, an elaborate stepwell with superb architecture. One could visit a Patola weaving workshop, an old textile industry. Definitely back to Ahmedabad or spend the night in Patan to have a leisurely schedule. Overnight stay at Ahmedabad or Patan.
Day 3: Ahmedabad to Dwarka.
It is best to start early and go to one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites, Dwarka. Upon arrival, get into a hotel close to the temple. Visit the evening Aarti of Dwarkadhish Temple which is a religious experience that one would not want to miss. Walk through Dwarka Beach and visit some of the nearby markets to get souvenirs. Stay overnight in Dwarka.
Day 4: Dwarka and Bet Dwarka Excursion.
Begin with morning darsan of Dwarkadhish Temple. See Rukmini Devi Temple, Sudama Setu and Gomti Ghat. Go on a ferry to Bet Dwarka, an ancient island which is said to be the residence of Lord Krishna. Visit the temples and peaceful environment as well as take pictures and become a part of the culture. Overnight Dwarka.
Day 5: Dwarka to Somnath.
Breakfast and travel to Somnath which is also among the most sanctified temples of Jyotirlingas in India. Get into a hotel close to the temple. Go and pay a visit to Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple and evening Aarti, a very spiritual experience. Visit Bhalka Tirth, Triveni Sangam and Somnath Beach where it is easy to spend time in a quiet spot with amazing sea views. Stay overnight in Somnath.
Day 6: : Somnath Sightseeing and Departure.
On the last day, keep on visiting Somnath and other attractions around. The Gita Mandir and the Prabhas Patan Museum allow one to study the local history and culture. Spend a leisurely day in the beach or a few minutes strolling in the local market to get souvenirs. Then proceed to Ahmedabad or be off to your next destination and complete your 6 days tour of Gujarat without forgetting the experience.
