Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad โ€“ Heritage Walk & Sabarmati Ashram.

Reach Ahmedabad and checkin to your hotel. You can start your heritage tour with the renowned Ahmedabad Heritage Walk, which is a route traversing centuries-old pols, wooden havelis, Jain temples, and community squares. Thereafter, see Sabarmati Ashram, the legacy of life of Mahatma Gandhi, his ideology, and freedom movement. During the evening, visit Sarkhej Roza complex which has Indo-Saracenic architecture. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

Day 2: Ahmedabad โ€“ Adalaj Stepwell โ€“ Modhera Sun Temple โ€“ Patan (Rani ki Vav).

Travell to Patan on the way with two of the best heritage jewels of India. Pull over at Adalaj Stepwell, known of its corruption of pillars and cut galleries. Go on to the Modhera Sun Temple, which is a masterpiece of the Solanki architecture. Arrival in Patan and visit Rani ki Vav which is a step well (UNESCO world heritage) that has good sculpture work. Day 3: Patan to Vadodara โ€“ Laxmi Vilas Palace & Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum.

Take off to Vadodara and enter your hotel. The first place to visit during sightseeing is Laxmi Vilas Palace which is one of the greatest private homes in India with European, IndoSaracenic and Maratha influences. Subsequently, go to Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum which contains paintings, royal treasures, European paintings and Chinese and Japanese artefacts. Spend a nice evening at the local markets. Overnight stay in Vadodara.

Day 4: Vadodara โ€“ ChampanerPavagadh Archaeological Park.

The modern field trip is devoted to UNESCO-controlled Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a huge historical terrain comprising ancient mosques, forts, stepwells, temples, and historical gateways. See the Jami Masjid that has been termed as a mixture of Islamic and Hindu art. You can have a cable ride up to the Kalika Mata Temple, which is one of the most sacred Shakti Peethas, at the top of Pavagadh hill in case you feel like. Return to Vadodara to spend a night.

Day 5: Vadodara to Ahmedabad โ€“ Calico Museum & Sidi Saiyyed Mosque.

Breakfast and then drive back to Ahmedabad. Pay a visit to the famous Calico Museum of Textiles, which is one of the greatest museums in the world that displays royal fabrics, tribal fabrics, embroidery, and ancient weaving practices. Still later, visit the Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, a classic site with carved stone jali windows featuring the famous Tree of Life motif of the world. Time to go shopping at Law Garden or Manek Chowk in the evening. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

Day 6: Departure from Ahmedabad.
