The Gujarat Tribal Tour Package is aimed at people who would like to investigate the life heritage, folk arts and culture of Gujarat tribal communities. Reach Ahmedabad and take up your hotel. You can start with the Tribal Museum or the Vechaar Utensil Museum, both of which help you to get a glimpse of the rural and tribal culture of Gujarat. Explore the traditional way of life and artisanship in the old city in the evening on a heritage walk through the pols in the old city. Overnight in Ahmedabad.
Excursion to Poshina, the home of the Bhil and Garasia tribes. Go to the nearby village settlements with mud huts, colorful murals, and traditional clothes that will bring the cultural atmosphere to the maximum. You are able to mingle with the tribal societies to know their way of life, their celebrations and their crafts. Have a classic meal and visit the terracotta horse shrine, which is a particular representative of tribal religious beliefs. Overnight in Poshina.
Travel to Gujarat one of the most important Shakti Peethas after breakfast, which is called Ambaji. In and around the Ambaji, small villages of tribes still have their primordial ways. Tour the Khedbrahma and surrounding hamlets, where you will find woodworking, silver ornaments and pottery made by tribal artisans.
Spend your afternoon with the female artisans who specialize in the bead jewellery and applique work in colour. Stay at Ambaji or go back to Poshina at one’s own choice.
Go to Vadnagar, an ancient town that has tribal communities around the town. Visit the Kirti Toran and the local markets with tribal influenced crafts. Go forward to Modhera to see the majestic Sun Temple which is architecturally brilliant. The region is not tribalspecific but the history and the cultural traditions make travellers learn about the broader heritage of Gujarat. Conclude the tour in Patan, the land of Patola weavers with their skills that are closely related to those of the traditional community. Overnight in Patan.
Drive to Zainabad the gateway to the Little Rann of Kutch. The area is inhabited by the Mir, Rabari, and other tribal groups of nomads who are embroiderers, camel herders and traditional clothes makers. Tour local villages of the tribe and have them show us how they weave and do leatherwork.
During the night, have a desert safari excursion in the Little Rann, where one can see wildlife, including Indian wild ass, desert fox, and migratory birds. Dinner and stay in Zainabad.
Go back to Ahmedabad in the morning. On the way, visit handicraft centers of the tribal communities to do real shopping. Being back in Ahmedabad, go to places like Law Garden Market or the Hutheesing Temple area where the tribal-style crafts and jewellery may be found for sale. Your evening is spent in street food, and you can do your shopping or come to any museum which you did not visit on Day 1. Overnight in Ahmedabad.
