Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive and Explore Agra
Take a flight at an early morning hour from Bangalore to Delhi and drive towards Agra via Yamuna Expressway, reaching there by late morning. Arrive at your hotel and have a shower before commencing a sightseeing tour. Begin with a tour in the Taj Mahal, the greatest symbol of immortal love and marvel at its white marble beauty as you cross the Charbagh gardens and look at its symmetry and detailing inlay patterns. Have a Mughlai lunch in one of the local restaurants. Post lunch visit Agra Fort the massive red sandstone fort which was the seat of Mughal power. Take a glimpse around at its palaces, courts and halls like Diwan -i-Aam, Diwan -i-Khas and the Sheesh Mahal. Next go to the Tomb of Itmadud Daulah popularly known as the Baby Taj and end your day at Mehtab Bagh where you are able to view the Taj Mahal in the sunset on the Yamuna River.During the evening, you will be able to shop in Sadar Bazaar and savor local delicacies such as bedai kachori and Agra specialty petha and then travel back to the hotel to have dinner and sleep while you prepare for the next day.
Day 2: Visit Ranthambore
Eat breakfast early in the morning and leave on your drive towards Ranthambore that may take about five hours and crosses the picturesque landscapes and Aravali Hills of Rajasthan. Arrive and check in to a jungle lodge or resort and have a nice Rajasthani lunch that includes Dal Bhati Churma. In the afternoon, go on your first jungle safari within Ranthambore National Park which is considered one of the most renowned tiger reserves in India. Tour the wilderness with professional naturalists and trace wildlife including tigers, leopards, sloth bears, deer and a host of birds too. The ancient Ranthambore Fort which is also found in the park gives the wild a historical background. Day 3: Departure
Wake up early in the morning and have an exciting morning safari and have a second opportunity to see tigers and other close to impossible animals in the busiest time of the day. Breakfast and leave the lodge. You are now on your way back to Agra and you can stop and have lunch at a local dhaba and enjoy the North Indian flavor. There is time to visit Fatehpur Sikri, the interesting city of red sandstones erected by the emperor Akbar, and see the main attractions of it, such as Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid, etc. Keep on your journey to Delhi and move to the airport and board your evening or night flight back to Bangalore, which is a three day journey to remember as it is a blend of heritage, wildlife, and adventure.
