Day-by-Day

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pushkar to Delhi – City Tour

The starting point of your trip is Pushkar to Delhi, and this takes about 1 to 1.5 hours with or without the traffic. Begin your Delhi tour with India Gate, the popular war memorial with beautiful gardens. Then move on to Rashtrapati Bhavan (President's House) and Parliament House, which are two landmarks of the Indian capital. Then visit Humayun's tomb, a world heritage site and a good example of Mughal architecture. Afterwards, come and see the largest brick minaret in the world, Qutub Minar, with its beautiful carvings and historical interest. Delhi has many gardens, like Sunder Nursery and Lodhi Garden; if you want to just relax, you visit these gardens. If you want to shop at affordable prices, you can visit Janpath Market, Sarojini Market or Lajpath Market. You can also go to Connaught Place in the evening to go shopping and enjoy the tasty street food in Delhi, such as chaat, parathas, and kulfi. Dine in a hotel and spend the night in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi to Agra – The City of the Taj

In the morning, have breakfast and leave your hotel in Delhi, and then begin your road trip to Agra, and the distance between the two places is approximately 3-4 hours. As soon as you arrive, go to your hotel and prepare to go sightseeing. Begin with the Taj Mahal, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the most famous Indian building. The Taj Mahal, an architecture that was made by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, is made of pure white marble and is more beautiful, especially during a sunny day. There is also boat riding in the Yamuna River. Tour the gardens, enjoy the marble and take some unique shots.

The second place to visit is the Agra Fort, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a huge red sandstone fort which was the primary dwelling of the Mughal emperors. You will find palaces, halls within and gardens which testify to Mughal lavishness and history. Go to Mehtab Bagh, a garden on the Yamuna River, at night, and you will be given a beautiful view of the sunset over the Taj Mahal. Your tour guide will then bring you to the hotel to have dinner and spend a night in Agra.

Day 3: Explore Agra – Departure

You can have breakfast in the hotel on your final day and then move on with your exploration of Agra. You can visit the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, or what is popularly known as the Baby Taj, which has stunning marble inlaid work and a peaceful setting. If it is possible, do visit the local markets of Agra, where handicrafts, marble souvenirs, leather goods and Agra Petha, the popular sweet, can be found when time permits. Later, leave the hotel and drive back to Pushkar with plenty of memories to be enjoyed forever.
