Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Gwalior to Agra: Entry and Local Sightseeing.
The first step is in Gwalior. You will be picked by our tour guide and be driven to Agra. The visit lasts three or so hours. The way will have little towns, fields, and country living. Upon reaching Agra, get into your hotel and take a shower.
During the evening, take a short stroll in the neighbouring markets. Marble work, leather goods, handicrafts, and sweet named Agra Petha are some of the well known products of Agra. When walking through the colorful stalls you will notice how vibrant the city is.When in pursuit of these colorful markets, it will be the first glimpse of the rich culture and hot hospitality in Agra. Thence to your hotel to dinner, and retire. With markets located, go back to your hotel to have a nice dinner and have a pleasant night at Agra.
Day 2: Agra Sightseeing visit and Taj Mahal and Mughal heritage.
Begin your day by going to the Taj Mahal, which is one of the seven wonders in the world. It is a memory to see the white marble monument glowing in the golden morning light. When you get time to sightseeing, go back to the hotel and have breakfast. When the initial beams of the sun meet with white marble, the whole monument is filled with golden light, which creates the image that is not easily forgotten. Then visit the Agra fort which is a red sandstone and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort displays the splendour of the Mughal Empire in terms of palaces, courtyards and halls.
The next place is the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, which is the Baby Taj. This small monument that was constructed by Queen Noor Jahan in memory of his father is subtly decorated with marble work and is regarded as the prototype of the Taj Mahal. During the evening visit Mehtab Bagh, which is a Mughal garden on the Yamuna River. It is over there that the river reflects a beautiful sunset of the Taj Mahal.
Day 3: Return Tour and Ranthambore Bird Sanctuary.
Have your breakfast and proceed to Ranthambore Bird Sanctuary, which is a secret place among nature and wildlife enthusiasts. The sanctuary falls close to Ranthambore and houses a great number of migratory and resident birds, including herons, kingfishers, babblers, parakeets, and rare Indian eagle owls. Peaceful lakes, grasslands, forest trails all around are the places where birds can be found.
Other than birds, there are also small wildlife in the sanctuary which makes it a tranquil location of photography and strolling. It is a fresh retreat to the city life due to the peaceful nature, birdsong and the green trees. Drive back after the tour to Agra. At night you will be delivered to Gwalior with the remembrance of Mughal legacy and wildlife.
