Stay in your hotel in Agra overnight.
Day 2: Explore Agra – Taj Mahal and Agra Fort
The first place you must visit after breakfast in the hotel is a visit to the Taj Mahal that is the most renowned monument of India and one of the Seven wonders of the world. It was the creation of white marble by Emperor Shah Jahan and dedicated it to his favourite wife Mumtaz Mahal and is best viewed in the mornings under the sun. Take a walk in its landscaped gardens, enjoy the carvings besides taking pictures in different positions. One day, you should visit the Agra Fort that is a UNESCO world heritage site. This huge red sandstone building used to be the principal dwelling place of the Mughal emperors. It has Mughal art and architecture in the form of grand halls, palaces and courtyards within. In the evening, go to Mehtab Bagh, a garden located on the other bank of Yamuna River, which has an ideal sunset view of the Taj Mahal. Have dinner and spend the night in Agra.
Day 3: Agra to Mathura – Begin Spiritual Exploration
After breakfast, proceed to Mathura. Mathra is a holy city of India which is known as the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Begin with Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple which is erected on the location which is considered as the very ground that Lord Krishna was born. Get acquainted with the rich life of the places, the temple complex, and other sacred places around. Then go to Dwarkadhish Temple which is one of the most significant temples in Mathura with its great architecture and lively prayers. During the evening, you may walk to Vishram Ghat on Yamuna River, where you may see the famous evening aarti. Arrive in your hotel at Mathura and spend a night there.
Day 4: Explore More of Mathura – Departure
On the last day, you are going to keep exploring Mathura in the morning after breakfast. You can go to the local temples like the Birla Mandir or visit the Govardhan Hill, connected to numerous incidents in the childhood of Lord Krishna.
