Day 1

Day 1: Kolhapur to Agra – Arrival and Sightseeing

Your trip begins with a flight or train of Kolhapur to Delhi. Upon arrival, one of our representatives will greet you and help you get driven to Agra, which is approximately 3 hours to 4 hours on road. After reaching Agra, go into your hotel and have some rest after the trip. Later in the day, start sightseeing in Agra, and visit the most popular monument in India and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal. Visit the beauties of white marble, explore the green gardens and capture the photos of this magnificent piece. You can also go for boating in the Yamuna and see the beautiful sunset.

Day 2

Day 2: Explore Agra – Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Mehtab Bagh – Drive to Fatehpur Sikri

Go sightseeing in Agra after breakfast. See the Agra Fort, a UNESCO world heritage site. It was constructed using red sandstone and it used to be the principal dwelling of the Mughal emperors. It has palaces, audience halls and lovely courtyards inside that demonstrate the magnificence of Mughal architecture.

Then go to Mehtab Bagh, a complex of gardens situated on the other side of the Yamuna river. It is considered one of the best places to see the sunset in the Taj Mahal and therefore, a good location to take photographs and have a moment of tranquility. Even after evening begin your drive to Fatehpur Sikri which takes a distance of 1.5 hours to arrive at Agra. When you get there, make your hotel reservation and sleep.

Day 3

Day 3: Explore Fatehpur Sikri – Return Journey

Take a sightseeing journey to Fatehpur Sikri; it was the old royal city of the Mughal Empire and it was there the Emperor Akbar built it. The architectural structures and monuments in this UNESCO site are constructed using a reflection of a blend of Islamic style of architecture and the Hindu style of architecture.

Some of the attractions that cannot be overlooked include the Buland Darwaza that is among the tallest gateways in the world and Jama Masjid which is a magnificent mosque that has magnificent court yards. One can also visit Diwan-i-Khas, Panch Mahal and the Palace of Jodha Bai which are a representation of the beauty during the era through which Akbar experienced life. You may spend your morning time walking around these very interesting buildings and learning about the history of the Mughal dynasty. Then when you walk out of your hotel, drive back to Delhi and resume your trip to Kolhapur on a flight or train.
