Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Puducherry to Delhi β Arrival and City Tour
Take a flight or a train from Puducherry to Delhi. Once you have arrived, our representative will greet you and proceed to your hotel. Then, you are going to visit the Indian capital city after a rest. Begin with the India Gate, which is a popular war memorial that has green grass around it. Then pass Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House, which give the authority and history of modern India. Subsequently, you will see Qutub Minar, a site recognised as a UNESCO world heritage, and the Lotus Temple, which is a calm place. In the evening, have evening shopping in Connaught Place or Chandni Chowk and return to your hotel and get dinner and spend the night in Delhi.
Day 2: Explore More of Delhi β Drive to Agra
Continue sightseeing in Delhi, breakfast. Start with exploring the Red Fort, the representative of the Mughal domination and symbolism, and continue out to Jama Masjid, which is one of the largest mosques in India. Rickshaw rides in the crowded streets of Chandni Chowk to have the taste of old Delhi are another thing you can enjoy. In the afternoon, drive to Agra (a 3-4 hour drive). Arrive and check in at the hotel and take a rest. In the evenings, the local delicacies will be served to you, e.g., Mughlai kebabs and the popular sweet petha. Overnight stay in Agra.
Day 3: Explore Agra β Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, then Drive to Mathura
Begin the day by visiting the most renowned monument in India and one of the 7 wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal. This white marble construction was created by Emperor Shah Jahan as a tribute to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and it is magnificent, particularly in the morning hours. The other UNESCO site to visit later is the Agra Fort. Within it are splendid halls, palaces and courtyards where the Mughal emperors lived. During the evening, you may visit Mehtab Bagh, a garden located on the other side of the Yamuna River where you can observe a beautiful sunsetview of the Taj Mahal. Sightseeing, then take a drive to Mathura, birthplace of Lord Krishna.
Day 4: Explore Mathura β Drive to Vrindavan
Sightseeing at Mathura after breakfast. Visit the Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, which is a supposed birthplace of Lord Krishna, and then visit the Dwaraka Temple, which has good architecture and a vibrant atmosphere. Take part in the spiritual aarti in the evening on the banks of the Yamuna River, which is called Vishram Ghat. Then, go to Vrindavan, which is not far away. Come to your hotel and spend the night.
Day 5: Explore Vrindavan β Departure
Visit the temples on the last day, Vrindavan is a town that is closely associated with the childhood of Lord Krishna. See the Banke Bihari Temple which has its own unique rituals and the ISKCON Temple where there is devotional music and chants.
