Day 1: Meerut to Delhi- Arrival and Travel to Agra.

The trip to Agra begins at Meerut. Board a drive or a train to the city of Delhi, and you will be picked up by our tour representatives at the airport or the railway station. Upon arriving at Agra, go to the  hotel and rest sometime. During the evening, have a small tour of Agra local markets. When you are searching these markets, you will obtain the first impression of Agra culture and traditions. Go back to your hotel to dinner, and remain over night.

 

Day 2: Visit to Agra to Sightseeing- Taj Mahal and Mughal heritage.

Begin your day with a visit to the Taj Mahal, which is one of the 7 wonders of the world. The sight of the beauty of this white marble in the morning sun is an experience that one will not forget. The Taj is an everlasting depiction of love in which Emperor Shah Jahan made it in honor of his beloved spouse Mumtaz Mahal.

In the morning, go on with your sightseeing in Agra Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort is built of red sandstone which represents the strength and way of life of the Mughal emperors. Indoors, visit Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, and Shahi palaces that are still an indication of Mughal greatness.

Next, visit the tomb of Itimad-ud-Dullah (which is also referred to as Baby Taj). This is a fragile marble statue that was constructed by Noor Jahn in his honor of his father and it is believed that he inspired the construction of the Taj Mahal. In the evening, the head of Mehtab Bagh which is a Mughal garden on the other side of the Yamuna river, to view a fantastic sunset at the Taj Mahal. Go back to your hotel for dinner and the night.

 

Day 3: Tour of Fatehpur Sikri

Breakfast and then have a short drive to Fatehpur Sikri, some 40km drive out from Agra. This is a UNESCO World Heritage site that was the former capital of Emperor Akbar. Tour the Grand Buland Darwaja, Jama Masjid, and Panch Mahal. The grave of Salim, another Sufi saint, is also a devotional and peaceful place that Sufi saints visit.

Return to Agra in the evening. You have time to use some free time in the local markets to take a souvenir and then go back to your hotel to spend the night.

 

Day 4: Tour of Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.

In the morning after breakfast drive 55 km to Agra then a day visit to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (Keoladeo National Park). It is the habitat of hundreds of species of birds in a UNESCO World Heritage Site such as migratory birds visiting in winter. One can hear it with the help of bicycle rickshaws and spend time in a natural calm environment.

Then after this new experience, proceed to Agra in the evening. Take a break in your hotel and have an overnight stay.



Day 5: Agra to Delhi -Meerut.

Breakfast and leave your hotel and drive back to Delhi. This is when time permits you to visit places like the India Gate or the Lotus Temple. You may go on with your trip back to Meerut.
