Day 1

Day 1: Meerut to Delhi – Arrival and Old Delhi Exploration

Start your journey from Meerut to Delhi by train or by road. Check in to the hotel on arrival and spend the day visiting the attractions in the capital. Begin at Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Then take a rickshaw through the narrow streets of Chandni Chowk (the heart of Old Delhi) to see old bazaars of jewellery, spices and tasty street food. Visit the serene Mahatma Gandhi memorial site on the banks of the river Yamuna at Raj Ghat.Your sightseeing will include a photo stop at the grand Red Fort - the royal residential palace of the Mughal dynasty, this iconic marvel witnessed successive changes in power.

In the afternoon, travel to New Delhi and visit the beautiful Lotus Temple, which is known all around the globe for the lovely flower-like structure of the temple and its work to maintain plush green gardens.
