You have breakfast in the morning, and the rest of the day you spend on the cultural and spiritual side of Delhi. Start with Bangla Sahib Gurudwara where people can experience a heartwarming time with peaceful singing of hymns and community kitchen (langar). Next proceed to the National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum where the rich artistic tradition of India is instilled through sculptures, textiles and village replicas. To have lunch, go to the Delhi Haat Janakpuri, a vivid open air marketplace where you can find craftwork and tastes of the entire India. Then visit Lajpat Nagar Market, which is ideal to go shopping with ethnic products and local snacks. During the night, go to the grand temple of the Akshardham, designed with fine carvings and exhibitions of culture which represents the spiritual path of India. Watch the spectacular performance of lights and water in the night and retire to your hotel.
The last day in Delhi is a day of free time and sightseeing. Start by the Garden of Five Senses, a green area where one can relax and enjoy art. Following this, starting with Hauz Khas Village, old ruins are combined with trendy boutiques and new cafes along the lake shore. Have a lazy brunch with the view of the medieval Hauz Khas Fort and Lake. You should also visit Dilli Haat INA before you leave--it is a quick shopping experience to get some souvenirs; hand made jewelry, colored fabrics and the local specialties. On your way to the airport or station when you are filling your bags, take with you the sights, sounds and the spirit of a city that is a delightful mix of the old and new.
