Day 1: Mathura to Delhi – Arrival

On arrival and a little rest proceed with an evening sightseeing of New Delhi. Drive along Rajpath to see the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the president of India, the Parliament House and continue to visit the illuminated India Gate. 

 

Day 2: Old and New Delhi Exploration

Later after breakfast embark on a full-day city tour of Old and New Delhi. Start in Old Delhi with Jama Masjid, then take a rickshaw tour through the bazaars of Chandni Chowk. Visit Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi and a photo stop at the Red Fort. Later, visit New Delhi’s famous architectural wonders, the Lotus Temple and stunning Akshardham Temple  which is one of the most ornate Hindu temples in the Country, renowned for its stunning carvings and cultural exhibitions. End your day with a gentle walk in Lodhi Gardens, a calm, green haven in the midst of the city. Overnight stay in Delhi.

 

Day 3: Delhi to Ranthambore National Park

After breakfast, drive/ride to Ranthambore, the tiger capital of Rajasthan from your hotel.Take it easy in the serene surroundings for the afternoon. Arrive in the evening and head for a quick introduction to the Ranthambore National Park and its diverse flora and fauna. You can also enjoy a stroll around the lodge area in search of lighter bird species. The neighboring villages provide a peek into Rajasthani culture and rural life. Receive a warm traditional welcome with refreshments at your resort. Relax by the pool or in the garden and cherish the peace of the natural setting. 

 

Day 4: Wildlife Safari at Ranthambore

Start off early with a thrilling morning safari ride to Ranthambore National Park, one of the best places to see tigers. Spot other wildlife such as leopards, deer, wild boars, marsh crocodiles and vibrant bird life while you are out bird watching. Have an early breakfast, then return to the lodge to relax. Day 5: Ranthambore to Delhi

Post breakfast, go to Delhi. In the evening make your way to Dilli Haat, an animated open-air bazaar where you can buy handicrafts and sample delicacies from various states of India. Or shop at one of the favorite shopping areas which are Janpath or Sarojini Nagar Market  for last minute souvenirs. You can also go to Lajpat Nagar if you have time left. If you have time, stop by Humayun’s Tomb or Qutub Minar, both Unesco World Heritage sites. Overnight stay in Delhi.

 

Day 6: Delhi to Madurai – Departure

Leave the hotel after breakfast. Later, you will be either taken to the railway station or airport for your flight to Madurai. Come back with the unforgettable memories of the cultural history of Delhi and thrilling wild stories of Ranthambore.
