Day 2: Heritage exploration

Post breakfast immerse yourself in the history of the Delhi royalty. Explore purana qila (old fort), an ancient city and enjoy historical as well as tranquility of the lake. Then visit the wonderful Safdarjung Tomb, a secret Mughal jewel of those who have visited it. In the post lunch, you can indulge yourself in the world of Indian arts in the National Gallery of modern Art (NGMA) where Indian masterpieces dating back centuries are found. Relax in the evening at Delhi Haat INA which is an open air marketplace with India and its crafts, cuisines and music. Get some souvenirs and taste local cuisine and then go home.

 

Day 3: Delhi Sightseeing

Begin your day with Agrasen ki Baoli, a 14th-century stepwell that is nestled among city skyscrapers--a great spot to take pictures and have a moment of meditation. Go on to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, where the shining sarovar and emotive kirtans provide a soothing break. Once you have enjoyed a langar meal, visit the Mehrauli Archaeological Park where old tombs and ruins are intertwined with greenery and serene tranquility. Later on in the afternoon, visit the Hauz Khas Village, a modern area with traditional heritage blending with bohemian cafes and stores. In the evening, have dinner in a rooftop restaurant with a view of the ruins of the fort- ruins- this is a wonderful conclusion to a cultural and creative day.
