Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Vadodara to Delhi β Discover the Capital City
You will start your tour with a flight or train ride that will take you from the city of Vadodara to Delhi. Our representative will meet you upon arrival and assist you in getting to the hotel. Have an Indian breakfast and some rest before you start exploring the capital city. The first destination should be the war memorial, India Gate, which has beautiful gardens, ideal for capturing photos and taking a leisurely stroll. Then proceed to see Rashtrapati Bhavan (President's house) and Parliament House, which display the strength and pride of India. Then visit the Tomb of Humayun, which is a UNESCO World Heritage structure and the prototype of the Taj Mahal. After that, there is the highest brick minaret in the world, the Qutub Minar, with its marvellous carvings and its curious history. You may shop and get street food at Chandni Chowk or Connaught Place during the evening. You must go to Delhi and have their famous chaat, parathas and sweets and then proceed to your hotel and spend an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi to Agra - The Mughal Marvels, then to Ranthambore
Have breakfast at the hotel, and then leave Agra, which is an approximately 3-4 hour drive. Upon arrival, prepare to sightsee. Begin with the Taj Mahal, the most visited monument in the world and which is one of the Seven Wonders. Emperor Shah Jahan built it in 1642 in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and it is cut out of pure white marble and shines in the daylight. Spend leisure time going to the gardens, viewing the designs and capturing photographs. Then go to the Agra Fort, also another UNESCO site and a magnificent demonstration of Mughal styles. There are palaces, audience halls and beautiful courtyards in the fort that depict the royal life. Having finished sightseeing in Agra, begin your adventure to the national park of Ranthambore that is one of the most popular in India. It is a long drive of 5 or 6 hours, and you will be there in the evening. Upon arrival, have yourself admitted to your hotel or resort and rest after the tedious journey. Have dinner and stay in Ranthambore for one day.
Day 3: Ranthambore Safari β Departure
Rise early to have an adventure jungle safari in the Ranthambore National Park. This park has Bengal tigers, leopards, deer and numerous bird species. The safari tour will explore the forest and open grasslands giving you an opportunity to view animals in their natural environment. Don’t leave out your camera since you may be lucky and see a tiger. Once the safari finishes, go back to the hotel and have breakfast and relax. You can drive back to Delhi or Jaipur, depending on your train or flight schedule and continue on your trip to Vadodara.
