Day-by-Day

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Shimla - The Gateway to the Himalayas

Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh and is the entry for our trek to Kinnaur. There's a cool mountain air at every step along with the feel of colonial buildings.
After you settle down in the hotel, you take an ambling stroll along the Mall Road. It's one of the India's best known streets so that you could probably enjoy the view and visit Christ Church-that's quite the beautiful neo-Gothic construction and the symbol of old history.
Visit The Ridge, which provides a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. To get some excellent souvenirs, handicrafts, and traditional Himachali woolens, visit the local markets.
Shimla is an excellent starting point for our adventure, with its rich history and beautiful surroundings.

Day 2: Shimla to Sarahan – A Journey into Serenity

The second day took us on the most fantastic ride from Shimla to Sarahan, such an unassuming quiet village with ancient temple activity and simply breathtaking beauty. En route passed through Kufri, one of the little hill stations holding valley areas that very lush green abounds with apple orchards. Next, we have to cross the Narkanda, which is a fantastic destination with sceneries on the snowclad mounts simply more spectacular.
Visit the Bhimakali Temple-an architectural wonder that encompasses a rich mix of Hindu and Buddhist style. This is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas; so, it is a sacred pilgrimage site.
The calm atmosphere of Sarahan, with its spiritual aura, makes for the most serene retreat before one proceeds further into Kinnaur.

Day 3: Travel from Sarahan to Sangla – Explore Baspa Valley :

Third day takes us to one of the most beautiful valleys in Himachal Pradesh: Sangla is located in the Baspa Valley.

Roads from Sarahan to Sangla are steeped in a beautiful view of the Sutlej River, surrounded by thick, green forests. Though this is a thin road and sometimes takes a roundabout turn, it is filled with breathtaking scenes to capture into cameras.
Visit Batseri Village, famous for wooden houses in the traditional Kinnauri style and Bering Nag Temple dedicated to Lord Jagas. Woodwork is a proof of architectural heritage of Kinnaur.
The Day ends in a riverside camp or at a comfortable hotel, with peaceful surroundings and a Star-Studded Sky.

Day 4: Sangla to Chitkul & Kalpa - Last Village of India

Today, we are moving towards Chitkul-the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border, and then to Kalpa.
Chitkul is known as the last village of India and its views are simply amazing. The village is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, lush green fields, and the pristine Baspa River.
Walking through the village, you would be seeing the Kinnauri-style homes, and friendly villagers with a great combination of Tibetan and Himachali culture.
From Chitkul we move on to Kalpa. It is an apple town, from where we can get great views of the Kinnaur Kailash range.
In Kalpa, we visit the Narayan-Nagini Temple. Here the region brings out the mark of great spiritual significance as well as of great craftsmanship.

Day 5: Kalpa to Nako – Kinnaur's Hidden Gem

We leave from Kalpa and head towards Nako, an attractive village due to its silent lake and monasteries older than hundreds of years.

Nako Lake is the main tourist attraction here. The water in this lake is so transparent that it reflects the surrounding mountains of this lake. This place is highly suitable for walking and meditation.
One of the ancient Buddhist sites, Nako Monastery, is a place to be visited. Murals and scriptures painted here depict teachings of Lord Buddha.
The silence of Nako makes it a perfect place for the traveler to experience the spiritual side of the Himalayas.

Day 6: Nako to Tabo - The Ajanta of Himalayas

We take off for Tabo, a town that owns one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in the Himalayas.

Tabo Monastery dates back to the year 996 AD and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as compared to Ajanta of the Himalayas in its frescoes and stucco sculptures.
The intricate paintings and murals there graphically depict the life of Lord Buddha. For its spiritual significance, Tabo is one of the most important centers of Buddhist learning and meditation. A stark contrast to the lush valleys of Kinnaur are the barren but beautiful landscapes of Tabo.

Day 7: Tabo to Shimla - Return Journey

On the last day of the journey, it's time to depart for Shimla, passing over the routes used to go through the marvelous landscapes of Kinnaur. You have enough time to reflect on all the great experiences gathered over the last week on a return journey. As you reach Shimla, spend some free time visiting Mall Road, shopping for souvenirs, or sitting idle before leaving.

The Coimbatore to Kinnaur Packages would include an all-around experience with the best landscapes of Kinnaur, along with the rich culture and heritage of the region. Places in this itinerary like ancient monasteries at Tabo and Nako and pristine beauty at Chitkul and Sangla are full of treasures to be explored.

Coimbatore is one of those destinations where people want to feel a perfect amalgamation of adventure, spirituality, and natural beauty. Book a journey with this Kinnaur from Coimbatore tour package for an enchanting voyage into the mysterious world of Kinnaur.
