Day 1: Delhi to Shimla – Gateway to the Himalayas

You are driven comfortably into New Delhi, all along the way through to the former summer capital of British India in Shimla. On this ascending journey to the hills, you would start leaving miles and miles of urban sprawl far behind and change into lush greens and panoramic views of mountains.
 
Arrive Shimla and take a transfer to the hotel. Later, take a walk on the famous Mall Road, breathe in colonial architecture, and see the local bustle. Christ Church is among the oldest North Indian churches. Lakkar Bazaar, one of the several colorful markets here, sells mainly wooden handicrafts. In case of time, visit Jakhoo Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, atop Jakhoo Hill. The temple offers great views of the mountains surrounding it.

Day 2: Shimla to Sarahan – The Abode of Bhimakali

Drive to the small village of Sarahan, which is at an altitude of 7,589 feet. Enroute, pass by the pretty little town of Narkanda famous for its orchards and dense apple forest. Stop a few minutes at the Hatu Peak top, the highest point in that region, for a panoramic view of the Himalayas.
