Kinnaur is one of the most beautiful districts in Himachal Pradesh. It blends breathtaking landscapes, ancient monasteries, and rich cultural heritage. Kinnaur road trip starts from Jammu and takes off to some offbeat picture locations so that it could be an offbeat getaway for nature lovers as well as adventure seekers.
Kinnaur from Jammu tour packages is one of the finest packages that a traveler can undertake to visit some of the serene valleys, snow-capped mountains, and some unique cultural landmarks. The Kinnaur from Jammu tour package by Rajasthan Cab is such that it gives the visitor an experience of hidden gems of the region.
The Kinnaur Packages from Jammu is one of the best planned 7-day packages that cover the less visited towns and villages of Himachal Pradesh. From Chail's dense forests to Pooh's barrens, it is sure to take one through diverse experiences with the natural and cultural wonders of Kinnaur.
The trip starts from Jammu and takes it through a beautiful drive to Chail, an unheard yet pretty hill station in Himachal Pradesh. This place is all deodar forests and rolling hills around so it is a peaceful abode away from the hustle of city life.
Chail is famous for the Chail Palace, which is a product of the architecture of the Maharaja of Patiala, exuding majesty and poise. The highest cricket ground in the world lies at an altitude of 2,444 meters, offering an extensive panoramic view. Chail Wildlife Sanctuary is an excellent place for nature lovers as it provides abundant biodiversity where one may occasionally get a glimpse of leopards, sambar deer, and Himalayan black bears.
Leaving Chail behind, this journey would be along the windy roads to Rampur, a historically importance town along the banks of the Sutlej River. The route along winding roads through dense pine forests also provides breathtaking views of deep valleys and gushing rivers.
Rampur is home to the famous Padam Palace, which represents excellent Indo-Tibetan architecture in an outstanding palace, a royal abode constructed by Bushahr kings. The sacred temple of Lord Rama in ancient Raghunath Temple forms another part. A riverside walk of Sutlej River forms a tranquil sojourn with its gentle flow producing soothing vibrations that call for serenity.
The third-day journey takes towards Nichar Valley in Kinnaur, where not much has been explored but nature is raw and untouched. At an elevation of 2,150 m, Nichar is surrounded by lush green forest cover, with terraced fields and snow-covered peaks.
With the Himalayan tahr, red fox, and snow leopards, Nichar Wildlife Sanctuary is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Others include the cliff-hugging road of Tranda Dhank, an exciting stretch with panoramic views of the valley below. Traditional Kinnauri villages in Nichar can be walked through and a chance to interact with the local people while learning about their unique customs and way of life.
It is a leg that takes a traveler to a place called Pooh, remote and culturally so rich that stands very close to the Indo-Tibetan border. The scenery starts to change now from dense forests towards the rugged mountainous and then cliffs of dust and stone.
One can experience Pooh with sprawling apricots and apple orchards where one can sample fresh, organic fruits at their best. The monastery of Pooh is an important Buddhist site graced with ancient murals and colorful prayer flags. The journey seekers find a thrill in coming to this place, especially traveling through Shipki La Pass (if permitted) as it is still the trade route between India and Tibet.
Leaving Pooh, the journey takes a detour to Lippa, a hidden gem tucked away in the Kinnaur Valley. This remote village, surrounded by dense forests and snow-fed rivers, offers a peaceful retreat for those looking to escape into nature.
Lippa Monastery is one of the major attractions here, which boasts very beautiful Buddhist sculptures and scriptures. A walk by the side of the Taiti River, which winds through the entire area, provides ample opportunity for travel to imbibe the peaceful surroundings of the place. The gourmand can indulge in local Kinnauri cuisine with the local specialty Chilta (buckwheat pancakes) and Thenthuk (Tibetan noodle soup).
Ride from Rarang towards the destination. This ride from Rarang will be over Kinnaur's somewhat offbeat location this time. Experience history along with breathtaking landscapes. The place is fairly offbeat and less touched compared to commercially popular areas.
The Rarang Monastery, full of years-old Buddhist paintings and manuscripts, is something to be witnessed. It takes only a little trek to walk to the next Charang Village, with captivating vistas of high peaks. In Rarang, the wooden houses provide the opportunity to look at this very special architecture throughout the Kinnauri region with intricate carvings and a stone foundation.
The journey then goes back to Jammu passing through the remotest and sublime destinations of Kinnaur. The return route is also an ideal way for some reflection, amid the breathtaking Himalayan scenery.
On this last day of this trip, one can return to any favorite spots that were passed by or to the local markets to pick handwoven Kinnauri shawls, dry fruits, and wooden artifacts as souvenirs.
The Kinnaur from Jammu tour package brings in the perfect blend of adventure, cultural exploration, and beautiful vistas for you. Travelers can experience true Kinnaur, away from the usual tourist circuits, by covering offbeat locations like Nichar, Pooh, Lippa, and Rarang.

We were let down by a hire car company and my husband found Rajasthan Cab via an online search. We were so happy with the outcome. The car was smart and clean, the driver Mr Ramveer was an excellent, safe driver, friendly, smart, very attentive, polite and kind. The value for money was incredible compared to what we had expected to pay for the hire car and it meant we could relax throughout the journey. We hired Mr Ramveer for 4 days on our own itinerary. I would highly recommend this company to anyone travelling to Rajasthan, wanting to do a lot of sightseeing. The itineraries they offer are brilliant and your days will be packed out.

We had a great experience with Rajasthan cab. They upgraded us to a comfortable vehicle. Surendra was our driver and on his recommendation we hired a guide. He was very good too. We were picked up from airport and was able to complete all the popular attractions in a day. Then he dropped us at our hotel. I will use them again.

Very good communication with the company to make a custom scenario with good cost benefit. New and comfortable car. Driver Dheeraj was always very polite, caring and punctual in addition to being efficient in time management in chaotic Indian transit. He always provided water, drinks and snacks. Keep in mind that guides are a for each city and not a single guide that accompanies you through all cities. In my case, there were 5 cities visited in the custom route. I recommend the company.
