Best Way to Travel

You can book a direct cab from Amritsar to Himachal Pradesh. You can also book a train or a bus to the intermediary city and then you can take a bus and a cab to Shimla. After reaching the destination you can book a Taxi Service in Himachal for local sightseeing of nearby sites.

Day 1: Amritsar to Dharamshala (200 km)

Breakfast, drive from Amritsar to Dharamshala. The road cuts across the pine-lined hill roads and mountain streams. Get into the hotel, rest and visit McLeod Ganj markets at night. Try the real Tibetan cuisine. Dharamshala, overnight.

Day 2: Dharamshala Sightseeing.

Begin the day at the Dalai Lama Temple Complex and at Namgyal Monastery. Then on to Bhagsunag Temple and Waterfall, and Dal Lake. Afterwards, visit the War Memorial and walk through peaceful tea gardens. Evening at Naddi Village, the sunset over the Dhauladhar Range. One-night stay in Dharamshala.

Day 3: Dharamshala to Dalhousie (120 km)

Move to the hill station of Dalhousie. Get into the hotel and relax. Go to St John Church, Subhash Baoli, and Mall Road. Spend the evening with the mountain breeze and Himachali food. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.

Day 4: Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Chamba Excursion (90 km round trip)

Travel to Khajjiar, the Mini Switzerland of India, and be enclosed by deodar wood and a large meadow. Try zorbing or horse riding. Visit Chamba and go to Laxmi Narayan Temple and Bhuri Singh Museum. Come back to Dalhousie in the evening. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.

Day 5: Dalhousie to Manali via Mandi (280 km)

Take a scenic drive through scenic valleys to Manali, passing by Mandi, which is Pandoh Dam. Arrive at the hotel and take a walk on Mall Road and taste local snacks after the long drive. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 6: Manali – Solang Valley and Local Sightseeing.

Go to Solang Valley to do paragliding and skiing during winter and rides on a ropeway. The next sites to visit after lunch are Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple and the Tibetan monastery. Spend the night at the banks of the river in Old Manali. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 7: Manali to Kullu and back (80 km round trip)

Excursion to Kullu. Explore the Kullu Shawl Factory and Raghunath Temple and visit the Beas River (rafting and walking) at will. Shopping for souvenirs Return to Manali by evening. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 8: Manali to Shimla (250 km)

Go to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Pass by apple orchards and mountain villages on the way. Enter the hotel and have a rest. Take an evening walk through Mall Road and The Ridge and then do some shopping locally. Overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 9: Shimla Sightseeing – Return to Amritsar via Chandigarh (280 km)

Breakfast, then visit Kufri, which has panoramic Himalayan views. Move to Jakhoo Temple and Christ Church. Then motor off to Chandigarh and get back to your train or car at Amritsar and conclude the memorable Himachal Tour Package.
