Before visiting the ancient Kangra Fort, spend some time exploring the nearby hamlet and enjoying regional cuisine. The oldest fort in India, it is renowned for its unique architecture and expansive vistas.

Day 11: Visit Sohail Village and Banjinath Temple

Sohal Village is approximately 40 kilometres away from Palampur. It is known for its pine forests, paddy fields and peaceful environment. Interact with the locals of the village and get to know more about their heritage and culture.
For a spiritual retreat, hop to the famous Banjinath Temple. It is a unique temple, which has Nagra style deity of Lord Shiva. 
Take a short trek and reach Jakhni Mata Temple which offers beautiful views of the mountains and Kangra Valley.

Day 12: Explore the Temples of Palampur

Palampur is known for its well preserved heritage and culture and is surrounded by many unique and ancient temples.Visit the Chamunda Devi Temple which is dedicated to Goddess Chamunda, a significant pilgrimage site. It is known for its serene atmosphere and the peaceful vibes it offers. Then visit the iconic Jwala Devi Temple which is one the 51 Shakti Peethas and known for its eternal flame that burns in the temple. Day: 13 Visiting the famous tea plantations

Palampur is also known as the Tea Capital of India and is famous for its tea gardens and brewing factories.
Visit the vast and magnificent tea gardens, where you can explore the tea plantations, the process of manufacturing the tea and taste some of the finest teas. Palampur has a famous Cooperative Tea Factory where you can immerse yourself in the experience of witnessing the process of manufacturing premium quality teas. Enjoy the local lunch at the restaurant and then head to explore Tashi Jong Monastery.
