Day 5: Guptkashi โ€“ Chopta (70 km / 3 hrs)

On arrival, arrive in your own guesthouse or camp. When the sun is going down behind the Himalayas, enjoy a calm night with a camp fire and a sky full of stars and the quietness of nature.

Day 6: Chopta โ€“ Tungnath โ€“ Chandrashila Trek โ€“ Chopta

In the early morning, start your walk to the highest Shiva temple in the world, which is called Tungnath Temple and it is about 3,680 meters above the sea level. The uphill path is a moderate trek, which is highly rewarding in terms of breathtaking snow-topped mountains, such as Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba and Trishul.

Having made prayers in Tungnath, proceed to Chandrashila Peak, which is a spectacular 360 view of the Himalayas. Take a few hours rest here and then walk to Chopta.
