The Char Dham refers to the most sacred pilgrimages of India, located in the Garhwal range of the Himalaya in Uttarakhand. Visiting all four pilgrimage sites together to attain moksha is called the Char Dham Yatra. The Char Dham pilgrimage of Uttarakhand (Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath) takes place from April/May to October/November. Pilgrims can complete the Char Dham pilgrimage in two ways: the traditional route is by road, and the advanced option is by helicopter.   • Registration is mandatory for the Char Dham Yatra by opting for various modes, such as online or offline.

  •  Carrying the registration slip and valid ID proofs is compulsory for travellers.

  • The suitable time should be chosen for the Yatra is Mid June and September to October.

  • Yatra should be performed clockwise direction(Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath).

  • Booking is required for accommodation and for helicopter services through the official website.

  • Carrying an emergency medical kit is important for the Yatra.
