Rajasthan Tour Itinerary from Andhra Pradesh

Day 1: Andhra Pradesh to Jaipur—the Pink City.

Begin the trip in Andhra Pradesh and arrive in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, which is painted in pink and has a royal background. Once you have settled down in your hotel, start visiting the major attractions of Jaipur, and these include the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).

Take an evening stroll in Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar, which specialize in jewelry, textiles, and handicrafts. Have a traditional Rajasthani dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Overnight stay: Jaipur.

In the morning, go to Amber Fort, which is one of the most famous buildings in Jaipur that stands on a hilltop that overlooks the Maota Lake. Take a ride on an elephant or jeep to the fort and see its royal courtyards, Sheesh Mahal, and its complex designs.

Then, see Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort, where you can see the city. During the evening, you can get a taste of the Rajasthani culture in Chokhi Dhani, where you get to see folk performances, puppet shows, and traditional food.

Overnight stay: Jaipur.

Have breakfast and then drive to Bikaner, a city in the center of the Thar Desert. On arrival, see Junagarh Fort, which is an amazing construction comprising beautiful palaces and temples. Items of ancient artifacts, costumes, and royal belongings can be found in the museum of the fort.

The Karni Mata Temple located at Deshnok, also known as the Rat Temple, is also a unique place to pay attention to the cultural diversity. Search later local markets for traditional snacks such as Bikaneri Bhujia and sweets.

Overnight stay: Bikaner.

Breakfast, and then go to Jaisalmer, also known as the Golden City due to its yellow sandstone construction. Upon arrival, enter the hotel and have a short rest.

In the evening, go to Gadisar Lake, where one can have a serene boat ride through the sunset. Sightseeing around the ancient city and visiting Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, both beautiful architectures.

Overnight stay: Jaisalmer.

Start your day with a visit to the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort, which is one of the few surviving forts of India where people live in it. Stroll in its narrow streets, which are crowded with temples, houses, and even handicraft stores.

Afternoon drive to Sam Sand Dunes, which is approximately 40 km away in Jaisalmer. This is because you can go on a rip-roaring camel safari or jeep tour through the desert as the golden sunset sets in. During the evening, a traditional Rajasthani cultural show with folk dances and music will be witnessed in the desert camp.

One-night stay: Jaisalmer Desert Camp.

Breakfast and then travel to the Blue City (Jodhpur). Upon arrival, you can check into your hotel and tour Mehrangarh Fort, which is a huge fort on top of a hill that commands excellent views of the blue-painted houses below.

Then proceed to Jaswant Thada, which is a white marble cenotaph constructed in the honor of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II and Umaid Bhawan Palace, which is one of the largest single houses in the world. Shop in the Clock Tower Market in the evening to buy handicrafts, spices, and antiques.

Overnight stay: Jodhpur.

Breakfast, then drive to Udaipur, the City of Lakes. Along the way, I would stop at the beautiful Ranakpur Jain Temples, which are built with white marble and have 1,444 ornate carved pillars.

On arrival at Udaipur, check in to your hotel and take a relaxing boat ride along Lake Pichola, where you would find Lake Palace and Jag Mandir perfectly mirroring themselves in the water. During the evening, visit local markets to buy silver jewelry, miniature paintings, and handmade crafts.

Overnight stay: Udaipur.

Enjoy a day of royal and cultural beauty in Udaipur. Tour of the City Palace, which is one of the biggest palace complexes in Rajasthan and then, Jagdish Temple, which boasts of the Indo-Aryan architecture.

Next, visit the serene garden called Saheliyon Ki Bari, constructed for the royal ladies. Evening can be spent by Fateh Sagar Lake or one can have dinner in a restaurant located on the lakeside and watch the sunset.

Overnight stay: Udaipur.

Post breakfast, visit Mount Abu (approx. 270 km), the solitary hill station of Rajasthan. Go sightseeing to the Dilwara Jain Temples, which are well carved with marble and Nakki Lake, which is a lovely location enclosed by hills.

You can embark on a royal and colorful journey to the most fascinating cities of Rajasthan in the evening and start your journey back to Andhra Pradesh by train, flight, or road and have memories of the same.
