How to reach Ayodhya from Nepal?

By Air – The closest airport to Ayodhya is the Faizabad Airport, which is not operational for commercial flights. The other major airport is in Lucknow, which is about 135 kilometers away, so you can take a flight from Kathmandu to Lucknow. Once you reach the city, hire a taxi or use public transportation to reach Ayodhya.
By Train – Nepal doesn’t have a direct train connection with India. Therefore, you would first need to travel to an Indian city with train connectivity to Ayodhya. Travel from Kathmandu to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, Gorakhpur is the nearest major railway station to Ayodhya. From there, you can take a train to Ayodhya.
By Road – One can travel by road from Nepal to Ayodhya via Uttar Pradesh. If you are starting a trip from Kathmandu, then drive to the India-Nepal Border crossing at Sunauli or Birgunj Raxaul. Once you cross the border, you can hire a taxi or bus to Ayodhya. The distance and travel time will vary according to the starting point.
By Bus – There are no direct or indirect bus service from Kathmandu or other major cities in Nepal to any destination in Uttar Pradesh. One needs to research for the bus and then continue a trip to Ayodhya.
