Ram ki Paidi
A series of ghats on the Sarayu Riverbank, Ram ki Paidi is a meticulously planned bathing ghat that has an impressive heritage layout. Legend has it that Lord Rama bathed here. It is believed that taking a dip here washes away all sins. You can visit it in the evening for a spectacular sunset and Sarayu aarti. The landscape looks stunning in the floodlit night.
 
Nageshvarnath Temple
Nageshwarnath Temple is an ancient Shiva temple thought to have been built by Kush, the son of Lord Rama. Naval Rai, a minister of Safdar Jung, built the current building in 1750. It is believed that this temple was how Vikramaditya found Ayodhya. The principal divinity of the temple is a lingam that manifests itself. Within the innermost chamber of this Shiva temple, one of India’s twelve Jyotirlingas is visible.
