Start your day with breakfast in the hotel before going out for a visit to sightseeing in Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj. Chanting of monks, prayer, colorful prayer flags, large spinning wheels and Buddha's statue make it a calm experience. Subsequently, Namgyal Math, a major center for Tibetan learning and meditation, where you can experience a deep sense of peace, known as Dharamshala. The Bhagasung Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the holiest sites in the region. Further a small trek is contained by the Bhagasung waterfall, gently cascading on the rocks - ideal for photography and peaceful moments.
In the afternoon, make your way to St. John's church in the wilderness, a cool neo-gothic structure surrounded by cedar trees and resonates with colonial history. A former British Viceroy nearby is located at the last resting place of Lord Elgin. Spend some time in the discovery of McLeod Ganj Bazaar, where you can shop for Tibetan Souvenirs, Handicrafts, Wolen and Prayer items. From the river, proceed to Dal Lake, which is a small but quiet water surrounded by succulent cedar forests. The lake holds religious significance and provides facilities for a Shiva temple in its bank, attracting both lovers and pilgrims.
Later, visit the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Stadium (HPCA Stadium) in the lower Dharamshala. With snow -covered peaks and its background of colored seating, it is one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in the world.
