• Kotwali Bazaar: It is famous for local products and budget shopping.

• Jogiwara Road: It is famous for handicrafts and Himalayan herbal products.

• McLeodganj Central Market: It  is ideal for Tibetan souvenirs, rugs, and thangkas

The next morning, I leave for McLeodganj to explore the city. It is the heart of Dharamshala and a must-visit place. It is known for its monasteries, vibrant cafes, and street markets. Famous as the residence of the Dalai Lama.

• Dalai Lama Temple(Tsuglagkhang complex) - This is the house of the Dalai Lama, and every year, thousands of devotees come here. The main temple reflects beautiful Tibetan culture with prayer wheels and thangkas. This is the ideal place for spiritual persons due to its peaceful atmosphere and mountain drop.

• Namgyal Monastery - This is the Dalai Lama's personal monastery and the largest Tibetan temple in India. This complex represents Tibetan culture, with intricate murals. It is best for meditation and learning.

Midday

• Bhagsu Waterfall - Bhagsu Waterfall is located a short distance from Bhagsunath Temple. January is the best time to visit this place. It is one of the most adventurous places for nature lovers.

• Bhagsunath Temple- It is an ancient 18th-century temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is built of stone. A sacred pool is inside the temple where we can take a dip for spiritual peace. 

• Tibetan Museum- The Tibetan Museum showcases Tibetan culture and the struggle through photos and documentaries.

Evening

• Naddi View Point- This is a beautiful sunset point, situated at a short distance from McLeogan, known for its peaceful surroundings and mountain views.
