Detailed Gujarat Pilgrimage Tour Package Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad – Spiritual Introduction.
Reach Ahmedabad which is the major gateway of Gujarat. Once you have checked into your hotel, go to Sabarmati Ashram, which is a place of stillness associated with Mahatma Gandhi. It is not a temple, and it predisposes a serene atmosphere.
Then visit Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple which is full of carvings and exhibitions. During the evening, go to the aarti and have some silent prayer. Traditional Gujarati dinner and stay in Ahmedabad.
Day 2: Ahmedabad – Dakor.
Travel to one of the biggest Krishna pilgrimages, Dakor, after breakfast. See Ranchhodraiji Temple where Lord Krishna supposedly revealed himself in the form of Ranchhodji. Individuals all across Gujarat go there to get blessed to aid family and prosperity.
Break in and get to know the spiritual life of the town and rituals in the temples. Evening time, take a break by the temple or go with local markets selling religious materials. Stay overnight in Dakor.
Day 3: Dakor – Ambaji.
It was one of the 51 Shakti Peethas or Drive to Ambaji which was a place of worship of Goddess Amba. See Ambaji Temple where worship is made without an idol; it is here that the holy Shree Yantra is venerated.
Observe darshan and absorb the Godly power in the temple. Then go to Gabbar hill which is thought to be original house of Goddess Amba. The mountain top is still and conducive to meditation and prayer. Overnight in Ambaji.
Day 4: Ambaji – Palitana.
Then, after breakfast, go to Palitana which is a holy Jain pilgrimage centre. Reach Shatrunjaya Hill that contains more than 800 temples of Jain. It is a symbol of obedience by climbing the hilltop.
See the temples of the main ones and enjoy their architecture and peaceful atmosphere. When they have gone down, spend time in the hotel and ponder about the pilgrimage of the day. Stay overnight in Palitana.
Day 5: Palitana – Junagadh – Girnar.
Go away to Junagadh, the old city at the base of Mount Girnar. Pay a visit to Girnar temples, a religious place among Hindus and Jain. The mountain is associated with Lord Dattatreya and Jain teachers.
You can hike a section of the hill or pay a visit to temples downhill as per your choice. This visit is quite enriching because of the spiritual experience and the nature. Overnight in Junagadh.
Day 6: Junagadh – Somnath.
In the morning we drive to Somnath one of the twelve Jyotlingas of Lord Shiva. Visit Somnath Temple and pray and listen to rhythmic chants reverberating over Arabian Sea.
During the evening, there is a light and sound show that narrates the history of the temple. Have a moment of quiet time at the sea. Overnight in Somnath.
Day 7: Somnath – Dwarka.
Visit to Dwarka which is the sacred city of Lord Krishna. Check in the hotel and visit Dwarkadhish Temple. Darshan and attend evening aarti, a touching experience to every visitor.
Go to Gomti Ghad and make some ritual offerings and prayers. This day is also a favorite because of the spiritual power of Dwarka. Stay overnight in Dwarka.
Day 8: Dwarka – Bet Dwarka – Nageshwar.
Begin with an early start and go to the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, which worships Lord Shiva, which is a very important component of Dwarka circuit.
Keep going to Bet Dwarka which was supposedly the home of Krishna. Go to the Island by boat, have darshan of temple complex, after which go by evening to Dwarka. During the free time, prayers or other visits to the temples are possible. Overnight in Dwarka.
Day 9: Dwarka – Ahmedabad.
