Rajasthan Offbeat Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur – Rural Trails of Samode

Your new guide will pick you up in Jaipur and take you to Samode, the peaceful village of historic havelis and country lanes. Visit Samode Palace outside, pass through small streets, meet local artisans, and take a relaxing walk in the village. In the evening you can spend time in an aged home.

Day 2: Samode to Kuchaman—Fort Stay & Sand Dunes

Excursion to Kuchaman, which has a fort and a salt lake. In or around the fort, stay in a heritage hotel. See ancient frescoes, gaze down the walls and walk the small village streets. Visit local potters and little markets. You can decide to go on a camel on the dunes which are near the hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Kuchaman to Khimsar – Oasis & Desert Life

Drive to Khimsar, a pleasant village of the desert. Khimsar Fort and Khimsar Sand Dunes Village. Have a jeep tour to see the blackbucks in the wildlife park. Sightseeing in and around the desert oasis and listening to folk music under the stars.

Day 4: Khimsar to Osian – Ancient Temples & Desert Camping

Visit Osian, which is the Khajuraho of the Rajasthan with its elaborate temples. Pay a visit to the Sachiya Mata Temple and Jain temples. Next spend the night in a desert camp dune bashing, riding a camel, watching the sunset, and taking evening cultural performances around a bonfire.

Day 5: Osian to Deogarh – Heritage Town Immersion

Day 6: Deogarh to Kumbhalgarh – Wildlife & Fort Exploration

Visit Kumbhalgarh, the home of the massive Kumbhalgarh Fort that has a 36 km long wall. Traverse the walls, temples and lookouts of this fort. Then have a safari in the Kumbhalgarh Wild Life Sanctuary, which is the habitat of leopards, antelopes and various birds.

Day 7: Kumbhalgarh to Ghanerao – Village Lifestyle & Trails

Visit to the cultural village of Drive to Ghanerao with old temples, local farming and walks. Go to the Ghanerao Rawla, with the craftsmen, and walk down the village walks. You may also make a short walk in the local forest.

Day 8: Ghanerao to Ranakpur – Marble Temples & Nature Walks

Next go to Ranakpur which has a beautiful marble Jain Temple. Upon visiting the temple, take a stroll in nature or have a rest along the river. Ranakpur is small and can be used to watch birds and take photographs.

Day 9: Ranakpur to Jawai – Leopard & Tribal Experience

To Jawai, the leopard habitat. Go on a private leopard safari with Rabari tribe in order to see wildlife. Explore the tribal life, stroll through granite hills and Jawai Dam. Have a bonfire dinner during a wilderness stay in luxury.

Day 10: Jawai to Bundi – Baoris & Blue Streets

Day 11: Bundi to Jaipur – Departure
