Begin Desert Camping in Jodhpur Experience for 3 days by arriving in Jodhpur. Meet a tour representative of Rajasthan Cab who will help you get escorted to the hotel. After taking some rest at the hotel, get set to explore the stunning blue city of Rajasthan – Jodhpur.
At first, you will embark on a visit to the charming Umaid Bhawan Palace sprawling on a vast stretch of 26 acres of land. The royal palace is one of the world’s largest private residences located in Rajasthan. From there, you will proceed to the mighty Mehrangarh Fort standing perpendicularly on a cliff of 400 feet above the skyline. It is considered one of the most formidable forts of Rajasthan which was created by Rao Jodha in the year 1459. After watching breathtaking views of the blue city over the fortress, head straight to the beautiful memorial site made in marble, Jaswant Thada. This memorial is often illustrated as the “Taj Mahal of Marwar”.
In the evening, take a drive back to the hotel for a relaxing night’s stay.
After a healthy or scrumptious breakfast, get set to travel to the ancient town of Osian which is a significant Jain Pilgrimage Center in Rajasthan. While driving to Osian, make a short halt at Harihara Temples, also known as “Khajuraho of Rajasthan”. Being a site of 15 Brahma Hindu Temples and shrines and Jain Temples, Harihara has many hand-carved ornated temples. Admire the impressive architectural designs of Surya Temple, Harihara Temple, Sachiya Mata Temple, and Jain Temple dedicated to Lord Mahavira.
Resume the drive to Osian and click some beautiful shots of the desert life and meet the local tribes like Bishnoi and Bhils. Then check in to the desert camps in Osian village and enjoy the cultural evening, bonfire, and overnight camping in the desert. Sleep well under the starry sky and tranquil aura.
Wake up fresh in the morning at your camps and relish a delicious breakfast. Then depart back towards Jodhpur and on the way discover Mandore Gardens. Popularly known for its royal cenotaphs, Mandore Garden was once the ruling seat of the Pratihara dynasty. The garden is a part of the massive Mehrangarh Fort and houses the famous Hall of Heroes and the Temple of 300 million Gods. Once you are done exploring Jodhpur, conclude the tour with happy memories on proceeding on your onward journey from Jodhpur.
