Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Khatu Shyam Ji β Darshan and Spiritual Time
Start your religious travel early morning from Jaipur, Agra, or your natal city. After your arrival, at Khatu Shyam Ji Temple in the Sikar district's Khatu, you will perform darshan at one of North India's most acclaimed shrines. Khatu Shyam Ji, purportedly an incarnation of Barbarik of Mahabharata, receives lakhs of pilgrims owing to their faith that one finds success and their wishes come true here.
Walk through the Shyam Kund complex where the idol was unearthed and bask in the serene spiritual atmosphere. After darshan, do some shopping at local shops that deal in religious mementos, prasad, and authentic Rajasthani souvenirs. Have traditional lunch or snacks at the temple town.
Evening: Get accommodated in a local hotel or dharamshala and relax. Visit the temple again for the evening aarti or stroll along the calm streets of the temple town. Overnight at Khatu.
Day 2: Salasar Balaji and Jeen Mata Temple Visit
After breakfast, begin the day with a day tour to Salasar Balaji Temple, located approximately 70 km from Khatu. Salasar is in honor of Lord Hanuman and is among the most visited Hanuman temples in India. devotees pray, offer coconuts, knot red threads, and perform rituals for power and protection. The temple atmosphere and devotional songs echo around the compound, a heavenly experience.
Following darshan and rituals, take a visit to Jeen Mata Temple located in a beautiful hilly area. Jeen Mata temple is said to be an incarnation of Goddess Durga and is over 1000 years old. It is possible to walk a bit to climb the temple stairs, which offer some fantastic views of the Aravalli hills. The location is particularly renowned during Navratri, but it is a serene and heavenly retreat at any time of the year.
In the evening, go back to your hotel or guest house. Enjoy a nice dinner and relax for the day.
Day 3: Rani Sati Mandir & Karni Mata Temple β Return Journey
On your tour's last day, depart after breakfast and visit Rani Sati Mandir in Jhunjhunu. The temple is special with respect to the fact that it has no shared deity idol but worships the soul of Rani Sati, a mythical female symbol of sacrifice, bravery, and fidelity. The temple is filled with ornate architecture, marble buildings, and nicely trimmed gardens.
Then proceed to Karni Mata Temple in Deshnok, close to Bikaner (optional depending on distance and time). Karni Mata Temple is renowned for its thousands of sacred rats, said to be reincarnated family members and sacred. This temple provides a singular spiritual and cultural experience, unlike any other.
After finishing darshans and exploring local areas or bazaars around, start your return journey earliest by late afternoon or evening. Arrive at your hometown (Agra, Jaipur, or Delhi) during night hours with a heart full of divine blessings and memories.
