Day 1: Delhi Arrival
Upon your arrival in Delhi, our representative will meet you and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Relax at the hotel and recharge your energy for the exciting tour that starts the next day.
Day 2: Delhi Full Day Sightseeing
After breakfast, you head to explore Delhi. Delhi is a modern city, yet it is also renowned for its ancient monuments. As India's capital, Delhi serves as a major political hub. The city is divided into two parts, Old Delhi and New Delhi. In Old Delhi, you will visit Chandni Chowk, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, and Qutab Minar. In Delhi, we can enjoy the delicious food. In New Delhi, attractions are Raj Ghat, Humayun Tomb (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Lotus Temple, India Gate, and Rashtrapati Bhavan. Then come to the hotel for the night's stay.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra Transfer and Sightseeing (216 km/3.5 hours)
After breakfast, we will depart from Delhi for Agra. Agra is located 216 km away from Delhi, and the journey takes approximately 3.5 hours. Upon reaching Agra, we will check into our hotel and take some rest. In the evening, we will explore the nearby sightseeing spots and local markets, after which we will savour Agra’s famous culinary delights. Finally, we will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Agra Sightseeing
After breakfast, we will set off for sightseeing in Agra. First, we will visit the world’s wonder, the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 in memory of his wife Mumtaj Mahal. The Taj is a white marble monument situated on the bank of the Yamuna River. The next place to visit is the Agra Fort, which is a Mughal dynasty residence. It is red in colour. Mughal emperor Humayun became king at the Agra Fort in 1530. Agra Fort was later renovated from 1565 to 1573 by the Mughal emperor Akbar. After visiting, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Agra to Jaipur (250 km/5 hours)
The next morning, we set off for Jaipur. Jaipur is 250 kilometres from Agra, and it takes 5 hours to reach. Two historical sites lie along the way: Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri village. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar from 1571 to 1585. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is constructed from red stone and reflects Indo-Islamic architecture. After that, we go to Abhaneri village. Abhaneri village is famous for the Chand Baori and Harshat Mata temple. Chand Baori is a 13-story, 100-foot-deep stepwell in Dausa, built by King Chand for water harvesting.
After arriving in Jaipur, check into the hotel and take some rest.
Day 6: Jaipur Sightseeing
In the morning, we set out for sightseeing in Jaipur. First, we will visit Amer Fort, where we can ascend either by elephant ride or on foot. The fort was built by King Mansingh in 1592. It features the Sheesh Mahal, Maota Lake, and the Ganesh Pole. The historical site represents a perfect blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. On the way, we visit the Jal Mahal- the “Water Palace”- situated on Man Singh Lake. It is an excellent spot for photography. Afterwards, we visit the Hawa Mahal- the “Place of Winds”- which features 953 windows. Afterwards, we enjoy some traditional Rajasthani cuisine. After resting briefly following lunch, we will visit the City Palace- a royal residence that also houses a royal museum. Now we’ll head back to the hotel and relax. In the evening, we’ll go to explore the market and shop for Jaipur’s famous handicrafts. Then come to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Jaipur to Delhi Transfer (278 km/5-6 hours) and Delhi to Leh transfer (1000 km/2 hours by air)
After breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Delhi airport to catch your flight to Leh. Our representative will meet you at Leh Airport and escort you to your hotel. Relax at the hotel and allow your body to adjust to the high altitude. In the evening, head to the market to browse and shop for Tibetan handicrafts, pashmina shawls, and stoles. Enjoy the traditional food of Leh, then return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Leh Sightseeing
After breakfast, head to Sangam to explore Sham Valley. After that, we visit the Hall of Fame Museum, which was built in memory of brave soldiers by the Indian Army. Now we visit the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and the Magnetic Hill (which defies the law of gravity). Then visit the Indus View Point, where the Indus and Zankar rivers meet. After that, from the Spituk monastery, a magnified view of the Indus Valley becomes visible. Then return to the Leh hotel for rest. In the evening, visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa (a white dome-shaped Buddhist monument), and Leh markets. Then come to the hotel for an overnight stay in Leh.
Day 9: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La- Valley of Flowers and Sand Dunes ( 125 km / 5 hours)
After breakfast, we will head to the Nubra Valley via Khardung La- one of the world’s highest motorable roads. From the top, we will enjoy breathtaking views of the Indus Valley and the snow-capped mountains. Then come to the hotel for rest. In the evening, we will explore the Hundred Dunes and go for a ride on two-humped Bactrian camels. Then return to the hotel for the night’s stay.
Day 10: Nubra Valley Sightseeing
We will head towards Turtuk, a small village situated along the banks of the Shyok River. This village is located at a relatively lower altitude and features narrow valleys flanked by towering mountains. Here, you can enjoy the sight of apricot and apple trees, as well as lush pastures.
Day 11: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok ( 170 km / 6 hrs)
After breakfast, we will head to Pangong Lake, travelling along the banks of the Shyok River. Situated at an altitude of 14,000 feet above sea level, this lake spans across both India and Tibet. This destination is renowned for its shimmering waters, framed by its surroundings. It is a famous spot for photography.
Day 12: Pangong Lake to Leh(160 km/5-6 hours)
After breakfast, you will head towards Leh via the high-altitude Chang La route. Subsequently, we will visit the Hemis Monastery, situated 45 kilometres from Leh. The monastery was commissioned by King Sengge Namgyal in 1672. Hemis hosts the Hemis Festival in June and is dedicated to the Buddhist saint Padmasambhava. On the next visit to Thiksey Monastery, there is a statue of Lord Maitreya Buddha, and 120 monks live here. Then, arrive in Leh and check into the hotel.
Day 13: Leh to Delhi
To travel from Leh to Delhi, we will now head to the airport and catch a flight. Upon reaching, we will check into our pre-booked hotel and rest.
