Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Udaipur’s Lakeside Serenity – Arrival
Travel by plane or train from Kumarakom to Udaipur (with an overnight halt at Kochi). You shall be greeted from the airport or railway station by our Rajasthan Cab driver. Get dropped off at your hotel to check-in. After some rest, start your city tour. Go to Fateh Sagar Lake, a quiet and clean hill lake. Then go to Moti Magri. There, see the colossal statue of Maharana Pratap astride a horse. In the evening, see the peaceful beauty of Ambrai Ghat. Lunch at a rooftop restaurant overlooking Lake Pichola and dazzling palace lights all around.
Day 2: Palaces and Local Culture – City Sightseeing
Breakfast and begin the Udaipur city tour. Visit the grandest City Palace in Rajasthan. See its rooms, large halls, and a museum full of Mewar family history. Visit Jagdish Temple, built in Indo-Aryan style architecture with beautiful stonework. Explore Hathipole Market on foot. This is famous for local fashions, paintings, and souvenirs. Day 3: Day Tour to Kumbhalgarh – Fort Hills
Morning breakfast, followed by preparation for a long journey to Kumbhalgarh Fort. It is about 85 km from Udaipur. The fort has the second-longest wall in the world after China's Great Wall. Visit the forts and palaces inside the fort. Enjoy the green stretch of the Aravalli hills. Lunch at a simple dhaba close to the fort. Back to Udaipur in the evening. Chill out at your hotel or take a stroll on the lakefront.
Day 4: Folk Village and Gardens
Day outing to Shilpgram, a cultural village on the outskirts of Udaipur. Watch folk dance, puppet shows, and handicrafts. Shilpgram is a must-visit to experience the rural Rajasthani lifestyle. Move on to Saheliyon Ki Bari, a garden built for queens. Fountains, marble pavilions, and lotus ponds are its features. Finish the tour at Doodh Talai. Ropeway ride to the hill top to see Karni Mata Temple. Sunset view of Udaipur from the hill top. It is peaceful and quite picturesque.
Day 5: Departure – Last Walks and Farewell
Relax with a leisurely breakfast. If time permits, visit the Vintage Car Museum, in which you can see ancient royal cars preserved. Take a farewell walk around the lake or a small shopping tour. Your driver will take you to the airport or railway station after check-out. You will go back to Kumarakom with enchanting memories of lakes, palaces, and Rajasthan's beauty.
