Yamunotri Dham

The first Dham of Chota Char Dham – Yamunotri is found in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. This temple is earmarked to goddess Yamuna who is the daughter of Lord Sun and Sister of Yamraj and Shani Dev. River Yamuna is the most sacred river of India which is worshipped by devotees and pilgrims from all across the country. Surya Kund is the main attraction of this temple. You will need to do a trek of 6 kilometers from Janki Chatti to the main Yamunotri Temple.

Gangotri Dham

The second Dham is Gangotri that is visited during the Chota Chardham Yatra. It is dedicated to Goddess Ganga which is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Gangotri Dham is a place where the Heavenly Ganga was brought on the earth. Goddess Ganga is worshipped as the holy river of India and the source of river Ganga from Gaomukh in form of the Bhagirathi river that later mixes with the River Alaknanda and forms the Holy Ganga River at Devprayag.

Kedarnath Dha

The third one is Kedarnath Dham which is among the four holy dhams of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath Tour Package is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located in the Rudraprayag District of Uttarakhand. The next day journey to the first Dham which is Yamunotri Dham. After crossing Kempty fall, you will come across a huge Yamuna bridge from where you can get the mesmerizing view of River Yamuna.

Some beautiful villages of Uttarakhand will come on your ways like Nainbagh, Purola, and Damta after crossing these villages from Damta. The route separates into two, among which one goes to Lakhamnadal having an ancient cave of epic Mahabharata times. After visiting the caves, you can proceed to Barkot for a halt overnight. The next morning pilgrims will be driven to Hanuman Chatti and Janki Chatti. It is the point from where the 6km of a trek to Yamunotri will begin.

You will come across the Shani Temple, after a visit to the temple will proceed to Vishwanath Temple and take a dip in Kund. Then upon reaching Divya Shila devotees will enter the main temple and offer prayers to goddess Yamuna. After darshan will be driven back to Barkot for a night stay. The next morning take a drive for Gangotri Dham Tour Package where the half for next night will be taken. On reaching Uttarkashi, devotees can embark on a visit to Kashi Vishwanath Temple, then take a departure for Gangotri Dham which is about 95 km away from Uttarkashi.
